THE POWER IN THE NAME AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
Our Lord Jesus Christ told His Apostles in John 14:12-14, "I am telling you the truth: whoever believes in me will do what I do - yes, he will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it."
In encouraging His disciples to be fervent in prayer without giving up, our Lord Jesus Christ told the parable of the widow and the unjust judge (Luke 18:1-5) and He ended up by saying in verses 7-8, And the Lord continued, "Listen to what that corrupt judge said. Now, will God not judge in favour of His own people who cry to Him day and night for help? Will He be slow to help them? I tell you, He will judge in their favour and do it quickly. But will the Son of Man find faith on earth when He comes?"
In these two Scripture verses, our Lord Jesus shows us the power in His name as well as the importance of having faith when we pray. There is so much power in the name of Jesus that so many people including Christians are not even aware of. Some of them believe the power only manifested when Jesus was on earth but clearly, Jesus never said at any time that the power will stop working or that there would be a limit to what believers would do.
He said whoever believes in Him will do even greater things and if they asked the Father for ANYTHING in His (Jesus) name, it would be done. So the problem here is not with the name of Jesus but with the person who is praying using the name. Does that person have faith enough to make the name work miracles? As Jesus asked, will He find faith on earth when He returns? For it is by faith in the name of Jesus that enables miracles to be wrought in ANY SITUATION.
The question now is, why is there so much power in the name of Jesus? We see the answer in Scripture in Hebrews 1:1-5, In the past, God spoke to our ancestors many times and in many ways through the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son (Jesus). He is the One through whom God created the universe, the one whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end.
He reflects the brightness of God's glory and is the exact likeness of God's own Being, sustaining the universe with His powerful word. After achieving forgiveness for the sins of mankind, He sat down in Heaven at the right-hand side of God, the Supreme Power. The Son was made greater than the angels, just as the name that God gave Him is greater than theirs.
We also see in Philippians 2:6-11, "Jesus always had the nature of God, but He did not think that by force He should try to become equal with God. Instead of this, of His own free will, He gave up all He had, and took the nature of a servant. He became like man and appeared in human likeness. He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death - His death on the cross.
For this reason, God raised Him to the highest place above and gave Him the name that is greater than any other name. And so, in honour of the name of Jesus all beings in heaven, on earth, and in the world below will fall on their knees and openly proclaim that Jesus is Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Dear reader, you can now see the power and honour in the name of Jesus Christ - His name means Saviour Anointed. He is the promised Messiah God sent to deliver mankind from the sin of disobedience that caused Adam and Eve to fall at the beginning of creation (Genesis 3) and for which God's glory left mankind.
Jesus died on the cross to reconcile mankind to God and as we are told in the book of Hebrews, He resurrected and is now in Heaven at God's right hand side. This is the basis for Christianity and this is the basis for the power in His name to answer EVERY SINGLE PRAYER made in faith. This is also the basis for the power in His precious blood shed on the Cross of Calvary.
As we are told in Sacred Scripture in Hebrews 10:10, "Because Jesus Christ did what God wanted Him to do, we are all purified from sin by the offering that He made of His own body ONCE and for all." As we are also told in verse 18, So when these have been forgiven, an offering to take away sins is no longer needed.
So what this means is that anyone who offers any sacrifice of any animal claiming it is to God is actually offering it to idols because Christ Jesus had resolved the issue of sacrifices perfectly with the one He offered of His body. According to the Jewish Law almost everything is purified by blood and sins are forgiven ONLY when blood is poured out (Hebrews 9:22).
There is absolutely nothing that can withstand the power in the name and blood of Jesus Christ. No demon, evil spirit, occultic power, witch or wizard and not even lucifer the prince of darkness can stand the power in the name and blood of Jesus. These evil forces know this simple and powerful truth but continue to operate as if nothing can stop them.
Dear friend, the satanic forces of darkness are only able to do this because Christians who should know better are also weak in the faith and lack understanding of the power in the name and blood of Jesus Christ available at their disposal.
This, unfortunately, is the reason why so many people erroneously think satan and his demons are powerful and they join satan who is clearly deceiving them to torment and disturb people who are weak in spirituality and spiritual things.
These people involve themselves in many occultic practices to attain ephemeral power, fame and money here on earth and believe they are powerful people because satan has promised them these things and even given it to them in exchange for their souls - souls that God gave then when He created them. How sad!
Unfortunately, after satan has deceived these people here on earth, they die in their evil and end up in eternal torment in hell fire where the same satan will torment them. satan is currently tormenting those before them whose souls have perished FOREVER in hell.
This is also why Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour in His love and mercy has been revealing Himself to Christians to show them the realities of hell and heaven with a warning to mankind to stop evil and to stop allowing satan to deceive them, repent of their sins and turn to Him (Jesus Christ) as the ONLY GUARANTEE to ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN.
Dear friend, as you read this, do you think satan and his agents are not aware of what I am saying here? Do you think they are happy I am exposing them this way to make sure no soul perishes in eternal torment in hell? The truth is, that is all they can do - to know, because the name and blood of Jesus Christ is able to save me and ANYONE who believes in Christ from the evil machinations of satan and his demons.
Today as I write, Jesus is giving you and I another opportunity to repent of our sins sincerely and accept Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives. Jesus is giving you the opportunity to experience the power in His name and blood if you use it properly in faith to ask God the Father for ANYTHING in Jesus' name.
Even if you encounter evil forces in your dreams, the mere mention of the name and blood of Jesus will send them scampering for safety because they can NEVER withstand the Supreme Power who created ALL things.
If you believe all I have written here, say this simple prayer - Lord Jesus Christ, I am truly sorry for all my sins and unrighteousness and I repent of them wholeheartedly. I believe you died for my sins on the Cross of Calvary and I now accept you as Lord and Saviour of my life from this day forward. I promise never to wilfully engage in sinful acts but to trust completely in you and your Word. Please send to me your Holy Spirit as promised to those who believe in you so He can teach me the truth about God and lead me to eternal life in you. I ask this through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
If you have said this prayer, you have now repented and committed your life to Jesus Christ. Please look for a Church where the true Word of God is preached about righteousness and living right before God in Christ Jesus. I assure you heaven will rejoice at a new convert while satan will cry for losing a soul that was previously destined for hell.
I also assure you that you will begin to experience the power in the name of Jesus and at the end of your life here on earth or if you are alive when Jesus comes NOW in rapture to take His Church as He is now saying, you will forever rejoice at the right decision you made this day.
Remember to always by faith invite Jesus and plead the blood of Jesus over any difficult situation you encounter and see His power at work to resolve it. Plead His blood over all members of your family also because there is REAL power in the blood of Jesus - you can never imagine it until you have tried and experienced it yourself.
