WHY YOU MUST NEVER WORRY

Philippians 4:6-7 (AMPC)
“6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
7 And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Many folks worry over many issues of life. One of the biggest worries majority have is over finances to cater for bills that would come.

Some worry over their kids. Some worry over inability to pass examinations. Some worry over their family members. Some worry over inability to get married. Some worry over inability to conceive and have children on time.

Some worry over journey mercies as they travel, whether or not they would arrive safely. Some worry over the unknown future. Some worry over death. Some worry over old age.

Some worry over their health. Some worry over house rent, school fees, food, etc.

I could go on and on and on about the many things humans worry about. I want to tell you today, dear friend, that worry has no positive benefits to the person that engages in it.

The Lord Jesus Christ states in Matthew 6:25 (AMPC), “Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing?”

As a Christian, when you worry, you violate the Lord’s command in this verse and offend Him.

Now, you may be wondering what I am talking about here and I’ll share a true story with you to buttress my point.

A lady who was a medical practitioner who treated drug addicts amongst many patients became indulged in consuming narcotics in frightening levels and it hit her so bad she became bedridden and almost died.

While recuperating, she started reading the Holy Bible and came across many Scriptures on Divine healing and realized it was God’s plan to heal His children and as she continued to study the Scriptures, she got a miracle of God, and received Divine healing.

Having come to a good knowledge of Divine healing, this lady left her medical practice and for the next 40 years of her life, taught others about Divine healing according to the Truth of God’s Word, got them to read it and internalize Scriptures and she saw many miracles take place in the lives of those she taught.

At an advanced age, this lady was far away in the United States but she had relatives who were in the thick of the second world war in Europe so she constantly worried about them.

This lady worried so much that she took very ill and almost died as a result. She even lost most of her hair in the process.

Again, by some miracle of God, she realized that her frenzied worry over her relatives was the cause of her debilitating illness. This lady then repented, asked God for forgiveness over her worry and God in His magnificent way not only restored her health but He also restored her hair and this time around the hair was solid black!!!

Dear friend, this is a true story, which reveals the huge danger in worrying over anything in this life.
You must never worry over anything but just hand it over to God in prayer as His Word says in Philippians 4:6 above.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
