LIVING A LIFE OF DOUBLE STANDARDS

Hebrews 4:13
“13 And not a creature exists that is concealed from His (God’s) sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.”


In Church everyone knows you as a sincere, straightforward Christian Believer. At the workplace, they know you as an alcoholic, womanizer, liar, and compromiser of Bible standards.

In your neighbourhood, you are also known as a trouble maker who cannot be trusted with funds meant for community projects.

However, you are quick to criticise the politicians who are not living up to public expectation.

Dear friend, do you know anyone that fits this description? I know many would readily have someone or people that come to mind but this article is not about them.

This is about the fellow who professes Christianity, follower of Christ Jesus the Lord but whose lifestyle of double standards brings dishonour to the Name of Jesus Christ.

You may think you can fool humans but be certain that you cannot fool God. Wherever you are, God is watching. He knows. He sees. He hears. God is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent.

Every now and then we hear someone is killed and the killer is never found. That situation is for human beings but certainly not for God because God knows who did it.

The spouse who dips his or her hands into the partner’s pocket to take money without consent is seen by God.

The little child who opens the mother’s pot of soup to take a piece of meat without consent is seen by God.

The worker who embezzles company funds, manipulates figures to cover up or even goes as far as setting the company building ablaze is seen by God.

God sees the politician who plans and accomplishes the assassination of his political opponents.

The adulterous husband or adulterous wife is seen by God. The student who engages in examination malpractice is seen by God.

The parents whose daughter becomes pregnant for a man and to cover up take her for an abortion are seen by God.

The doctor, nurse or laboratory technician who extracts a patient’s blood sample and then takes it to his or her witchcraft coven is seen by God.

God sees the occultic group that offer their blood relatives as sacrifice from time to time to renew their covenant with satan for political positions, for fame or money.

The neighbour who steals and takes the fellow neighbour’s garment to a voodoo priest to conjure spells and cause malicious damage is seen by God.

Does God not see the driver who siphons the owner’s fuel from the vehicle to sell? Does God not see the kidnapper, the extortionist law enforcement officer, the bribe taking judge who perverts justice to the highest bidder?

Does God not see the pimp who arranges university female students as call girls for men old enough to be their fathers?

What is it then that someone wants to do that God cannot see? Even if you commit adultery or fornication in the darkest room, God sees it as clear as daylight. This is evident from His Word in Psalm 139:12, “Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. “

Dear friend, it is simply a waste of time to live a double life if you are a Christian.

It is a waste of time to live in sin if you are not yet a Christian because Jesus hates sin but still loves you and wants you to repent and return to Him before it is too late.

As you read this piece, today is that day and now is the moment of decision, for tomorrow or later may be too late to come to Christ.

Come now, while Jesus is calling you. I can assure you that He has all you will ever need in this life, no matter how dirty you think you have become.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Merciful Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
