[Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes!”   Dear people of God, about 5 years ago, I watched a documentary on cable television of a true story of how 3 men – Tim Jenkin, Stephen Lee and Alex Moumbaris - escaped from prison in Apartheid era South Africa in 1979.   The men were arrested in 1976 as political prisoners having been accused of terrorism against the government of the day and were sentenced to between 8 – 12 years.   Though these prisoners were white men, they were part of the African National Congress (ANC) team who were at that time fighting the repressive Apartheid Regime of the era that was discriminating against blacks in their own land.   Now, having studied the prison environment, two of them started a plot to escape and they were later joined by 6 others.   The plot initiator, Tim Jenkin had experience with door locks and how they work, so he wa...

  Matthew 13:18-23 (AMPC) “ 18 Listen then to the [meaning of the] parable of the sower:   19 While anyone is hearing the Word of the kingdom and does not grasp and comprehend it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the roadside.   20 As for what was sown on thin (rocky) soil, this is he who hears the Word and at once welcomes and accepts it with joy;   21 Yet it has no real root in him, but is temporary (inconstant, lasts but a little while); and when affliction or trouble or persecution comes on account of the Word, at once he is caused to stumble [he is repelled and begins to distrust and desert Him Whom he ought to trust and obey] and he falls away.   22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is he who hears the Word, but the cares of the world and the pleasure and delight and glamour and deceitfulness of riches choke and suffocate ...
