FRUITLESS FIGHT AGAINST THE TRUTH

All over the world today, we see individuals, groups and governments fighting tooth and nail to supress knowledge of the truth of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

They threaten Christians, arrest them, lock them up and even kill them all in a bid to stop the spread of Christianity.

Some governments especially in Islamic countries and countries like North Korea where they worship their leader outlaw celebration of Christmas and other Christian holidays.

We see terrorist groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda, Al shabab, Boko Haram, etc all engaged in a killing spree of Christians who fail to convert to Islam and who are insisting on holding on to their Christian faith even in the face of certain death.

The actions of these ignorant individuals, groups and governments is premised on their false conviction that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God and cannot be God either.

Unfortunately, we also see such behaviours in countries of Europe and North America where laws have been formulated that goes against the commandments of Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible.

Such laws include legalisation of abortion, same gender unions, divorce and gender change, etc.

What all these groups fail to realise is that by their very actions, they are fulfilling the prophecy our Lord Jesus Christ made thousands of years ago.

In John 16:1-4, our Lord Jesus Christ says "These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me (Jesus Christ). But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them."

Jesus also tells us in Matthew 5:11-12, "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Dear friends, with these powerful Words of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is easy to see that the Christian who suffers persecution today on account of standing firm for Truth, Righteousness and our Lord Jesus Christ should be glad as Jesus has said a great reward awaits him or her in heaven.

As for the groups and governments who are engaged in persecuting Christians and trying to suppress Christianity and the Truth about Jesus Christ, Repentance, Salvation, Righteousness and God's commands in the Holy Bible, it is a fruitless battle they fight.

If they are convinced that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God and God Himself, then what are they are afraid of in trying to suppress what Christians profess about Jesus? Why are they fighting those who hold such belief when those ones are not fighting them?

Dear friends, all these must happen for the Scriptures to be fulfilled. However, it is pertinent to note that Christians must study God's Word in their Bibles to know the Truth and promises of God to those who believe so they are never discouraged by persecutions and hardships on account of their Christian Faith.

Every Christian who preaches the Gospel to non-Christians as I am doing now is doing the right thing and only fulfilling the command of Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel to every creature - Mark 16:15. Again, no government, individuals or groups can prevent this from happening because it is a decree from Jesus Christ Who is God.

Anyone reading today's message who hardens his or her heart against the truth stated here is on a journey in the wrong direction.

Whether we like it or not, whether we believe it or not, whether we acknowledge it or not, Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Christianity is the ONLY acceptable way of life as far as God is concerned.

As long as you are alive reading this message, Jesus Christ, Who is God is giving you another opportunity to know the Truth about Him, about Christianity and about eternal life.

It is only those who have believed and accepted Jesus Christ, and are living in word and deed in strict obedience to His commands in the Holy Bible that will reach heaven either at death or once Jesus Christ comes a second time to take those who belong to Him, which is very imminent.

Today and NOW, is the moment of decision, because tomorrow or later may be too late.

May the good Lord bless and prosper you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in the Glorious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
