NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER

By the grace of God I have come to understand that the Word of God in the Holy Bible has an answer to every question in this world. This is evident in Matthew 4:4, "But He (Jesus) replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every Word that comes forth from the mouth of God. [Deut. 8:3.]"

There is one question I have always heard people ask and I told myself whenever I get to heaven by God's special grace I would ask Him the same question.

That question is this: why does God allow satan to operate and not destroy satan for the whole world to have peace?

Dear friend, just yesterday, God used one of our pastors in my church to show me and other brethren the answer to that question in the Holy Bible.

God's Word tells us in Isaiah 54:15-17, "Behold, they may gather together and stir up strife, but it is not from Me (God). Whoever stirs up strife against you shall fall and surrender to you.

16 Behold, I have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals and who produces a weapon for its purpose; and I have created the devastator to destroy.

17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord."

Dear friend, these verses of the Bible are clearly for the child of God and not everyone. Notice verse 16 where God says He created the devastator who destroy. So who is the devastator that is causing all the commotion in this world? It is satan, demons and their human agents.

God says He has created them to destroy, but no weapon of these enemies formed against a child of God shall prosper. With this promise from God and knowing fully well that every Word of God is forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89) and is true forever (Isaiah 40:8), then this Word of God is equally true like all others.

What this also means is that there is absolutely nothing satan can do to triumph over a child of God. However, let us note carefully that in verse 15 of Isaiah 54, we are told that satan, demons and their human agents may gather and stir up strife against God's children.

This is a possibility as God's Word tells us and indeed all the troubles of this world especially against God's children is a clear pointer to the fact that the evil one and his agents always gather to stir up strife because that is the only work they do since they are created to destroy.

However, God reminds us in the same verse that such gathering of evil people against children of God is not from Him and whoever stirs up strife against God's children shall fall and surrender to God's children!

So this means when satan, demons and their human agents gather against others who are NOT God's children to stir up strife, they are able to afflict those ones because they are NOT God's children and the promise of protection from evil influences is ONLY for God's children.

Dear friend, this can only lead one to this sensible conclusion: to be free from ALL evil influences, one should become a child of God. So who is a child of God?

A child of God is one who has repented of sin, confessed and forsaken sin and evil, has sincerely and genuinely accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Messiah of his or her life and has committed to obeying God's Word in the Holy Bible and is actually living out that obedience in word, thought and deed.

Any deviation from this prerequisite immediately cuts off the individual spiritually from God's Divine protection, and opens up the person once again to evil influences/strongholds and affliction from satan, demons and their human agents.

So a child of God cannot afford to toy with worship, loyalty and obedience to God and His commands in the Holy Bible. The consequences are better imagined than experienced.

Having known this, I invite you dear friend, to think over all I have said here if you are yet to give your life genuinely to Jesus Christ, to live wholeheartedly for Him and His command to love everyone sincerely.

As for me, by God's grace, I am enjoying a life of Divine Protection, peace, love, mercy and blessings in His Word from my Saviour Jesus Christ and Him alone will I live for and serve all the days of my life.

Please decide today for Jesus Christ, for tomorrow may be too late.
