IDOLATRY AND ITS MANY FACES IN TODAY'S WORLD

In my previous posts, I have established the fact that there is ONLY one God and there is ONLY one way to worship Him, which is through His Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. If you haven't read that post, please I urge you to do so you can follow today's post. I also urge you to read and think carefully about today's post because while it may look controversial even to Christians, remember that truth only has one meaning. The Word of God, the Holy Bible, is where ABSOLUTE truth can be found. Always remember that the way to find the truth is to search diligently with an open mind, whilst praying for God's Holy Spirit to lead you to the truth about God (John 15:15-17). Any act of worshipping God in anyway other than through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is simply idolatry or idol worship. Any act of giving honour that belongs to God alone to anything or person dead or alive is idolatry. Any activity that CONSISTENTLY takes one's time rather...

THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD

As I stated in a previous post on the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Trinity, distinct in personality but the same and equal as God. Again, the Holy Trinity is a mystery and I did try to explain it in that post so you can read it up there for enlightenment. In the Word of God (the Bible), the Holy Spirit is called various names - the Paraclete, the Comforter, the Helper, Breath of the Almighty God, Power of the Highest, Eternal Spirit, Spirit of the Father, Spirit of Christ, Spirit of the Son, Spirit of life and so on and so forth. When He had almost completed His mission on earth, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ told His Apostles in John 14:15-17, "If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father (God) and He will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever. He is the Spirit who reveals the truth about God. The world cannot receive Him, because it cannot see Him. But you know Him, because He remains with you ...

JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD AND MESSIAH

Dear reader, the intention of this particular post is to show you and anyone who cares to find out that Jesus Christ is not an ordinary person as non-Christians think. Anyone who finds Jesus Christ has found God, has found life and is saved when you sincerely worship, serve Him and obey His teachings. Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God the Father Almighty. The name Jesus Christ means Saviour Anointed. He is also God, the second Person of the Holy Trinity I discussed in my last post. Jesus is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the One Who was, Who is and Who is to come. A lot of non-Christians find it difficult to believe these statements and even accept it. Some of them know it is the truth but still refuse to accept it. Christians accept it because it is the truth God has revealed and history has proven.  Ever since He came to earth in human form, Jesus Christ has become the most popular name...

GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT - THE HOLY TRINITY

There is ONLY one God - the Almighty Father, the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last, the Creator of the entire Universe, the Heavens, the Earth and all that is in them. He is the One Who was, Who is and Who is to come. He is the One to Whom all glory and honour must be given. He is the One Who is to be praised, worshipped, adored and glorified. We must give thanks to Him always. We must love Him above everything else and with all our hearts, our minds, our strength and our soul. There is ONLY one way of worshipping  God the Father Almighty. Anyone who claims otherwise is engaged in idolatry and God detests idolatry. I will expound more on this later. In Christianity, we talk of the Holy Trinity, that is, God being in three distinct persons  yet the same ONE God. It is a mystery that cannot be fully understood but we believe it by faith as a revelation from God. Please note that we are not talking of 3 Gods but one God in 3 distinc...
