I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES! I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST!

Do you believe in miracles? I do. Miracles are SUPERNATURAL events that God uses to affirm His supreme Sovereignty and Majesty. Science cannot explain miracles because man is limited in his knowledge.

Miracles are indeed proof that God the Almighty Father exists and is real. The Holy Bible gives proof of the first miracle when God spoke the Universe into existence (Genesis 1). The fact that we are able to sleep and wake up daily as we live on earth is a miracle.

Any event that happens without man being able to explain it is supernatural and is a miracle. We see several other miracles happen everyday even without realizing it:

(1) The rising and setting of the sun every single day.

(2) The constancy of the seasons in every part of the world.

(3) Seed time and harvest time in farming.

(4) The air we breathe that is essential to our very existence and yet we can only feel it without seeing it.

(5) The fact that the oceans are 70% of the earth's total surface and remain so while land is 30%.

(6) The miracle of conception that forms a human being in a female's body.

(7) The fact that we sleep and wake up every day and continue to age in body structure and internal organs.

(8) The complete order seen in the Universe.

I could go on and on and you will agree with me that no human being can explain any of these constant and natural occurrences. We can see the beauty and mystery of these things and yet some people still go ahead to claim that the One Who is responsible for all these things does not exist - God the Father, Supreme and Sovereign Being!

The Word of God tells us in Romans 1:20 "Ever since God created the world, His invisible qualities, both His eternal power and His Divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God has made."

If God exists, and indeed He does, one way He relates with us is through miracles. Without miracles, it would be quite difficult convincing people about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, His love for us and the powerful Gospel message of Salvation, repentance and forgiveness of sins.

Since God is Omniscient, which means He alone is ALL knowing or has knowledge of everything and anything, He knows exactly what to do at every point in time; hence the use of miracles to confirm His existence in our lives.

The Apostle Peter while preaching the Gospel message said in Acts 2:22 "Listen to these words, fellow Israelites! Jesus of Nazareth was a man whose Divine Authority was clearly proven to you by all the miracles and wonders which God performed through Him. You yourselves know this, for it happened here among you."

Again, the Apostle Peter told the Israelites while preaching the Gospel in Acts 10:38-43, "You know about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on Him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere, doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, for God was with Him.

We are witnesses of everything that He did in the land of Israel and in Jerusalem. Then they put Him to death by nailing Him to a cross. But raised Him from death three days later and caused Him to appear, not to everyone, but only to the witnesses that God had already chosen, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He rose from death.

And He commanded us to preach the Gospel to the people and to testify that He is the One Whom God has appointed Judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets spoke about Him, saying that everyone who believes in Him will have his sins forgiven through the power of His name (Jesus Christ)."

Dear friend, so what is my point in all this? My point is that everyone and anyone can experience the same miracles the Lord Jesus Christ performed while He was here on earth as a human being. You only have to believe in Him and what He did for us by shedding His precious blood on the Cross of Calvary for our sins.

In fact, the Lord Jesus said Himself in John 14:11-14, "Believe Me when I say I am in the Father (God) and the Father is in Me. If not, believe because of the things I do. I am telling you the truth; whoever believes in Me will do what I do - yes, he will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father.

And I will do whatever you ask for in My name, so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in My name, I will do it."

Dear friend, simply put, what the Lord Jesus Christ is saying here is that anyone who believes in Him will perform miracles just like He did while on earth and continues to do as the Divine Son of God and God Himself. He also promises that such individual would even do greater things than He did while on earth.

Isn't that a beautiful promise coming from our Creator? The beauty about following Jesus is that He is able to solve all our problems if we are willing to trust Him. He is our Creator, the One who made us and gave us freewill to choose.

He invites us every single second of our lives to experience peace, love, joy, freedom and other wonderful things here on earth with Him and after our stay here, we are assured of living forever with Him in eternity in His glorious Kingdom of Heaven.

All this is possible if we give our lives to Him. He says in Revelation 3:20-21, "Listen! I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his house and eat with him, and he will eat with Me.

To those who win the victory I will give the right to sit beside Me on My Throne, just as I have been victorious and now sit by My Father on His Throne."

Dear friend, are you going through pain, sorrow, regret, hardship of any kind? Only the Lord Jesus can cause His miracle to happen to turn around the situation for you and make all things brand new. He alone can do ALL things.

Experience it today by turning to Him. I say so because I believe in miracles because miracles are real. I also, most importantly, believe in Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ exists and He is real.

God bless you mightily as you heed His Word, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.
