THE RESURRECTION POWER OF JESUS CHRIST

What some or even most Christians don't understand is that without the Resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour from death, there would be no Christianity.

While He was on earth as a human being Jesus said He came to die for the sins of mankind and that He would be tortured and He would rise again from death. He said it and He did it (Luke 24:44-48).

Clearly, this is a pointer to the fact that Jesus Christ is God because no other Prophet in the history of mankind made such authoritative pronouncement about himself that came to pass.

Prophets of old made prophecies concerning others and the future that came to pass but only Jesus our Lord and Messiah made a prophecy about Himself on such a critical subject as death and resurrection and came back alive to confirm it.

The Resurrection story is so compelling that it not only began the Church Era (Christianity or Body of Christ), but the Apostles of Christ all died as martyrs for their faith in the Gospel Message except John the Evangelist who died a natural death, though he had once been thrown alive into a cauldron of boiling oil but escaped alive!

The Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ is the same Power that has a final say in ALL THINGS concerning this world. It is the same Power that created and sustains the Universe. It is the same Power that ensures that children of God are protected from the power of satan and the demons or rebellious or fallen angels.

It is the same Power that nothing in the entire universe can withstand. It is the same Power that speaks and settles all issues.

It is the same Power that can bring the vilest of sinners from spiritual death in sin and turn them around to become instruments of God in the work of Salvation.

It is the same Power that shapes the direction of creation and keeps the entire elements of the universe (planets, sun, moon, stars, etc) in place. It is the same Power that ensures that as long as the earth remains, the seed time and harvest time and the seasons remain in place (Genesis 8:22).

Dear friend, in case you are yet to comprehend, the Resurrection Power of Christ I refer to above is the Great, Mighty and Omnipotent Power of Almighty God, our Creator, Lord and Father of our Master and Saviour Jesus Christ.

When God speaks, all matter is settled (Psalm 119:89). He alone has the final say in ALL things. When satan deceived Adam and Eve at the beginning and made them disobey God in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world, mankind became separated from God and doomed to hell forever (Genesis 3).

However, God in His love and mercy sent His Son our Lord Jesus Christ to earth to die for our sins on the Cross of Calvary and reconcile us to God. This is what we commemorate every Good Friday.

Three days later on Easter Sunday, Jesus Christ rose again from death as He said He would by the Resurrection Power of God because He is Holy, sinless and blameless and so death cannot have any hold over Him (Romans 6:9; Revelation 1:18).

This is what we celebrate every year at Easter. Dear friend, that same Resurrection Power is available to anyone who offers himself or herself willingly to God.

As soon as someone gives up a life of sin and joins Christ, the Resurrection Power is released to free the person instantly from spiritual death and eternal damnation in hell to which the sinner was initially destined from an earlier life of sin.

No matter the kind of sinful life the person led before, the Resurrection Power cancels it INSTANTLY at repentance and salvation.

The same Resurrection Power is available by the Power of Holy Spirit to enable the new convert or Christian live a Holy life free from sin as long as the person lives according to God's Sacred commands in the Holy Bible (John 14:15-17.

This is very, very important if the person is to earn eternal life in Heaven with Christ Jesus either after departing this world in death or at the Rapture of Christ's Bride, the Body of Christ, the Church, which event is imminent as Christ Jesus Himself has been warning severally in recent times via different people in different parts of the world.

Anyone who misses this opportunity will remain on earth to witness the Great Tribulation, an event the Lord Jesus Christ has warned would be catastrophic for mankind left on earth after the Rapture of Christians because the anti-Christ would take over the world and cause serious, unimaginable pain for those who remain as never before witnessed since the time man came into existence to this world.

Dear friend, I am too sure having read this, some fear has gotten you and you're now asking what do I do to escape this Righteous Judgement of God about to take place on earth?

All you need do now is repent GENUINELY in your heart of sin and evil, turn to Jesus Christ in prayer, asking Him to forgive you and promising to live henceforth a righteous life according to His commands in the Bible.

Then look for a Church where the true Word of God is preached and begin immediately to fellowship with them while asking the Holy Spirit of God to teach you the truth about God (1 John 2:27) as contained in His Word.

The Resurrection Power of Christ is available to all who truly and sincerely desire it. The time to get it is now, for later or tomorrow may be too late.

At this critical time of the imminent end of the Church age, the prayer of every Christian should be as Paul said in Philippians 3:10-11, "All I want is to know Christ and to experience the Power of His Resurrection, to share in His sufferings and become like Him in death, in the hope that I myself will be raised from death to life."
