FACTS ON CHRISTIANITY TO PONDER ABOUT

A lot of people erroneously believe there are many ways to God. The result is thus a carry-over of the erroneous belief that everyone should be left to practise whatever religion they have and at the end of their life they will make it to their Creator.

Fortunately, the Lord Jesus Christ gave a command to Christians as contained in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen."

Following from the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ to Christians therefore, it is no surprise to see Christians all over the world using different media to preach the Gospel Message of Repentance and Salvation.

Though the Lord Jesus Christ gave this command in 34AD to a group of people that included His twelve Apostles, today in 2014 AD, the message remains the same and is still as strong as ever.

The reason for this is simple: Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 18:18b that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church and indeed, that decree of Jesus Christ remains till date despite the various persecutions against Christians over the centuries.

Dear friend, the preceding paragraphs should make you want to find out more about Christianity. I will help you with that by giving you some indisputable facts about Christianity:

(1) The founder of Christianity, our Lord Jesus as a human being is the only person from the start of creation to date to be born without the coming together of a man and a woman.

(2) The Gregorian Calendar recognised and in use today by the entire world is based on the prior coming of Christ Jesus and the time after Jesus' day as a human being in this world.

For instance, we are currently in 2014 AD, meaning After the Day of the Lord Jesus Christ.

B.C. means Before Christ. This should tell anyone that the Deity Jesus Christ was no ordinary Man because He has a Divine Nature as well as His human nature while He was on earth between AD 1 and AD 34 when He ascended into heaven.

AD means Anno Domini or After the Day of the Lord. We are currently in AD 2014 as at the date of this article.

(3) Jesus Christ is the only person who has said He came down from heaven and when He was departing this world, He said He was going back to Heaven and to prepare rooms for His followers.

(4) Even though other forms of religion existed before it, Christianity has the largest followership than any other to date.

(5) In the United States of America, various groups are fighting to stop Christian prayer in schools and to prevent the name of our Lord Jesus Christ from being mentioned in public.

This fact alone should reveal to those who erroneously believe there is no God that there is something about Christianity.

(6) In Communist countries, Christianity is outlawed.

(7) Islamic terrorists always target Christians more than any other Group. Our Lord Jesus Christ prophesied about this in John 16:1-4 thousands of years ago and it is still happening today.

(8) The Word of God, the Holy Bible, is the ONLY book that addresses every issue of human existence. How do I know? It is because God has said "man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word God has spoken." (Deuteronomy 8:3b; Matthew 4:4).

God's Word only exists in the Holy Bible and no where else. How do I know? Dear reader, please do well to read the Holy Bible and see for yourself that what I have just stated is ABSOLUTELY true.

(9) Christianity does not permit divorce for whatever reason. I know because God says He hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and Christianity demands love and forgiveness of offences we commit against each other (Matthew 6:14-15).

What this means is that Christian marriage is till death parts the couple.

(10) Christianity professes the existence of ONE God having three distinct personalities: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This is called the Holy Trinity.

(11) Christianity is the only religion that operates by miracles. Miracles are simply the intervention of God Almighty in seemingly impossible human situations. This is why our Lord Jesus Christ says in Luke 18:27, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."

(12) Our Lord Jesus Christ is the only person who said He would die and rise again after three days and He remains the only person who did it. How do I know?

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the basis for Christianity because that is the very reason Jesus Christ came, to die for the sins of mankind on the Cross of Calvary to destroy what satan did at the beginning when he (satan) deceived Adam and Eve and caused them to sin against God's command in the garden of Eden (1 John 3:8).

I can go on and on about true facts concerning Christianity but I will limit it here to enable you ponder on what you have read here today.
                                                    
Dear friend, please permit me to make it clear that a Christian is not someone who professes it verbally but someone who has believed and obeys the commands of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ (John 8:30-32).

This obedience should be seen in the person's words, actions and reactions.

Therefore, if you see anyone doing contrary to the commands of Christ outlined in this article, for instance on marriage and divorce, such a person cannot be a Christian because Christ Jesus our Lord demands TOTAL obedience to His Words from His followers as contained in the Holy Bible.

Having read thus far, you will have seen the uniqueness and mysteriousness of Christianity and its Founder, our Lord Jesus Christ.

This should keep you pondering and when you prayerfully ask God to reveal the truth about Christianity to you, God will surely do so because He wants every child of His to come and live with Him forever in heaven at the end of stay here on earth.

Dear friend, Jesus Christ calls you today as you read this. It is the love and grace Jesus Christ has given me that is enabling me send these messages also in fulfilment of the Great Commission of Christ to His followers we read earlier.

All this happens by the Power of the Holy Spirit once a person repents genuinely of sin and evil and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of his or her life.

I therefore urge you, dear friend, to take that step in the right direction now and today, as you read this, to give your life to Jesus Christ so Jesus can come and live with God Almighty in you as He has promised in His Word (John 14:21, 23).

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Most Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
