NOTHING DEFILED SHALL ENTER HEAVEN

Concerning Heaven, the Word of God says in Revelation 21:27 "But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

It is also written in Revelation 22:14-15, "Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practises a lie."

Dear friend, today's topic is a very sensitive one aimed at enlightening everyone, especially Christians, about the fact that God will NEVER allow anything defiled to enter heaven because heaven is a perfect place.

These days and sadly enough, we find so many people who claim to be Christians living lives that offend God but they ignorantly carry on believing they are qualified to enter heaven.

A lot of Christian folks qualify sin and rely on how their lives compare to others to believe that all is well, rather than compare their lives to the Word of Almighty God and make amends.

For instance, someone claims to be a Christian but tells lies habitually. For such person, telling a lie is a lesser offence than fornication or adultery or stealing and therefore God will overlook it.

Dear friend, if you belong to such group of people who ignorantly think this way, the time to repent is NOW, as you read this.

Anything word, thought, action or reaction we carry out that contradicts what the Word of God says defiles us and disqualifies us from entering heaven, unless we repent and confess such defilement.

If you claim to be a Christian but you bear grudges, keep malice, refuse to forgive, harbour hatred, envy, jealousy, lust in your heart, you defile yourself.

If you claim to be a Christian and you oppress your spouse, children, workers, subordinates, etc, you defile yourself.

If as a wife, you refuse to submit to your husband in ALL things except sin, as God's Word has commanded, you defile yourself.

If as a husband, you refuse to love your wife as Christ loved the Church and gave His life for it, you defile yourself.

If as a child in the home, you tell lies and play tricks to obtain money or favour from your parents, you defile yourself.

If the law of the land where you reside specifies road traffic offences and you break any one of them, you defile yourself.

It does not matter whether you are the President of the Country or you are the least person in the Country; as long as what you have done go against God's Holy Word, you defile yourself.

If you are a business owner and you defraud your customers and tell lies always to grow your business, you defile yourself.

If you tell your neighbour you want to borrow ONE stick of match and you take TWO without telling your neighbour about the second one, you defile yourself.

If as a spouse, you take your husband's or wife's money without telling him or her with the excuse that both of you are one, you defile yourself.

If in the office where you work, you take an official envelope and use it for your personal business and not company business, you defile yourself.

Dear friend, I can go on and on and on to emphasize this point of defilement so that you will understand that God's Word is not something we should take lightly.

A lot of people hide under the phrase that "God is merciful" to commit so many atrocities and believe that heaven will overlook it. I tell you today, unless you repent, confess and forsake such sins, heaven will NEVER overlook it.

Are you a parent who claims to be a Christian and you instigate your children against your neighbour or your spouse or themselves?

Are you a parent who sees your child either selling herself for money or engaged in stealing to bring things to the home and you refuse to question the child and warn about the dangers of hell?

Are you a teacher who helps your students during examinations to cheat and pass so that you can obtain money or favour from their parents?

Are you a school owner who actively engages in obtaining school examination papers for your students ahead of the actual examination so that the pass rate is high and your school is rated as top class?

Are you a Pastor or Priest who collects offerings from the congregation meant for a project and then divert the money to your personal use?

Are you a church worker or leader or deacon who whilst counting the Church's offerings, you take some for yourself when no one is looking?

Are you a Pastor or deacon whose daughter has gotten herself pregnant and then you and your spouse secretly arrange for abortion for the unborn child so that there is no stigma on your family?

Are you a parent who pressurizes your son to dump his wife and take another woman as wife because of inability of the wife to give you grand children or a male child?

Are you a parent who encourages your daughter to abandon her husband to married or get pregnant for a rich man so you can have access to his wealth?

Are you an employer of labour who wants to sleep with potential employees before offering them the job?

Are you a Head of Human Resources of an organization who uses your position to oppress and sleep with your colleagues who want a favour or promotion?

Are you an employer of labour who gives unreasonable targets to your employees without caring if they sin against God to achieve it?

Are you a person whom someone has offended and you refuse to forgive despite several pleas and entreaties from well-meaning individuals and groups?

Are you a government worker who uses your position to enrich yourself?

Are you the President of a Country who assassinates opposition for telling you the truth about areas of your administration that needs improvement?

Are you a politician who assassinates opponents because you believe they are more qualified than you for an elective post?

Are you a neighbour whose job is to seek the young girls or boys in the neighbourhood to defile them sexually?

Are you an artisan who tells lies about the cost of an item to obtain more money from your client to do their job?

Are you an artisan who takes your client's article claiming it is spoilt and then reselling the same item to the client as a replacement part?

Are you a business person who wants to use tricks to obtain a bank loan?

Are you a would-be traveller to Europe or America who inflates his or her bank accounts with other people's funds for the purpose of obtaining a travel visa?

Are you a married person whose wife has gotten pregnant with a so called unwanted child and you both agree to procure an abortion?

Are you a Pastor who abandons preaching the Gospel to take a phone call in the middle of a Church sermon?

Are you someone who falsifies records to obtain a favour?

Are you someone who takes advantage of a widow or orphan because you believe there is no one to fight for them?

Are you the sibling of a dead person and then you throw out his wife and their children just to claim their property?

Are you the children of a dead parent fighting over the late person's property?

Are you a person who does not have compassion for others? Are you a person who oppresses your domestic employee because you are the one paying the person to work for you?

Are you a person whose child who has attained the age of reason will eat food, leave the empty plate on the table and shout for the domestic employee to come and carry?

Dear friend, I can tell you that a lot of people are engaged in these acts every second. Unfortunately, there are millions of people who claim to be Christians who are also engaged in these acts.

All these acts defile and anyone who engages in them and refuses to repent can NEVER enter heaven!!!

I have listed them, even the ones that appear to be insignificant to a person but not insignificant to the Almighty God. A lot of other things people do that defiles them and they don't realise it, e.g. A Christian listening and dancing to worldly music that neither edifies them nor glorifies God.

Another example is a Christian watching worldly movies or programs on television that defiles them with ungodly scenes.

I know some while reading this post will argue and say there is no one who can live a perfect life and that we are all sinners living under the grace of Almighty God. While that may be true, dear friend, recall the Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 5:48, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."

Dear friend, this is not an advisory from the Lord Jesus Christ but a decree, a command that MUST be obeyed.

Jesus Christ will not tell us such things if He does not know we are capable of living perfect lives. This is why He says in John 14:23 "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."

What this means is that the Lord Jesus Christ and God Almighty and the Holy Spirit will come and dwell inside of anyone who obeys His commandments.

We find Jesus' commandments in one place ONLY, the Holy Bible, the ONLY Word of God. Therefore, if the Word of God dwells in you, it means Jesus Christ dwells in you because Jesus Christ is the Word of God (John 1:14; 1 John 5:7; Revelation 19:13).

If God's Word dwells in you, keeping His commands will not be difficult because His Holy Spirit will ALWAYS guide you if you determine in your heart to obey Him.

God's Word will dwell in you when you DILIGENTLY make a study of it every single day as you do other things in your life. NOTHING ELSE is more important than the Word of God (Matthew 4:4).

Dear friend, as you read this and become convinced of the truth of this message, three things you need to do quickly - first, repent genuinely of your sin and unrighteousness, confess them to Jesus Christ and ask for His forgiveness and grace to live a righteous life going forward.

Second, go and reconcile with whoever you have a grudge or misunderstanding with, even if the other person is at fault. Go and reconcile and remove the burden in your heart. Free your heart from spiritual sin that defiles you.

Third, share this message with others, just as I have done with you and save souls from perishing in Hell forever because that will please God Almighty, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit more than any other achievement you have made.

Remember, as the Word of God says in Proverbs 11:30 "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and whoever wins souls is wise."
