THE BEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO ANY HUMAN BEING

Dear friend, if I were to ask you what was the best thing that could happen to you, I'm sure a simple majority of respondents would talk about money. Some would talk about career, some would talk about marriage to their dream partner, some would talk about having kids, some would talk about paying off a debt or having a dream home or office.

Some may even talk about achieving a political ambition - becoming their country's Senator, President, Prime Minister, Governor, etc.

While all these intentions appear noble and noteworthy, let us consider what our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ says in Luke 12:15 "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses."

The Lord Jesus then goes on to tell His listeners the Parable of the Rich fool who worked so hard to store up riches for himself while acknowledging himself as the one who achieved it and when he wanted to relax from his hard work to enjoy himself, the Owner of the Universe and all in it, God Almighty, demanded the man's soul that night, and all the man's toil amounted to nothing (Luke 12:16-20)!

Since our Creator and Lord Jesus Christ knows what is best for us, He ends by reminding His listeners of what was most valuable in God's sight, which is laying up treasure for ourselves in heaven and not just on earth (Luke 12:21).

Jesus Christ specifically states in Luke 12:33-34, "Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches or moth destroys.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Dear friend, if you consider these Words of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ the Messiah, you will observe that your treasure could be money and all other things you consider most important in your life.

Looking at the earlier list I drew up of what some would talk about the greatest thing that could happen to them, you would see that these things also represent treasures in people's hearts, which would make them most pleased to achieve.

There is a Christian program I usually watch on Cable Television called "Way of the Master", where a group of Christian Missionaries travel to some 13 European Countries in 13 days to share the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ, a call to Repentance and Salvation.

I am usually shocked to watch and hear human beings say they don't believe there is a God or they don't believe there is life after death or they don't believe there is a heaven or hell.

In Africa where I reside, there is knowledge about the existence of God though I must admit so many people are engaged in darkness, evil and sinful practices. It is rare to see someone claim in this part of the world that God does not exist but some do say they don't believe in a life after death.

Dear friend, Jesus Christ says in Mark 8:36-38, "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My Words in this adulterous generation, of him, the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

What Jesus Christ is saying here is that a time is coming, very very very soon, when He, Jesus Christ will suddenly appear in this world to take away those who are His, away from this sinful world in a spiritual process known in Christendom as Rapture.

As Jesus makes it clear, it is only those who are not ashamed of Him that would go with Him in Rapture.

Once the Rapture occurs, the Church age will come to an end, the presence of God will disappear from this world for 7 whole years during which time satan and the anti-Christ will take over the world, deceive people and make people who refuse to accept them suffer so much untold torture and hardship never before experienced since the world began.

Unfortunately, there are some people who currently claim Christianity but who will not make it in the Rapture. These are people whose lives have been the contrary to what Jesus Christ has commanded in the Bible, His Holy Word.

Though such people say they are Christians, they tell lies, commit adultery, commit fornication, steal, cheat, keep malice, fight, bear grudges, refuse to forgive offenders, engage in gossip, watch pornography and other immoral movies, read pornographic and immoral literature, oppress others especially the less priviledged, are racists and believe they are superior to others whose skin colour is different from theirs or whose language is different from theirs, ask for bribes to do their work, keep concubines, etc.

Such people are lost in the fashion of this world, wear make up, keep crazy hair styles, wear wigs, attachment, jewellery, wear clothing belonging to the opposite gender, listen to music with immoral lyrics, engage in homosexuality and lesbianism and support those who do these things.

Such people believe it is good works that would take them to heaven and not the grace given to mankind by God through the sacrificial death of Christ Jesus on the Cross of Calvary for mankind's sins. Such people rightly believe God is merciful and will show mercy to everyone, whether they believe in Christ or not, as long as they are engaged in charitable works.

Such people believe getting into heaven is by their own set standard and not by God's Holy and Righteous standard found completely in one Book ONLY, the Holy Bible.

So it is not everyone who claims Christianity that will enter heaven in Rapture, but only those who are not ashamed of Jesus Christ and live according to His commands.

Dear friend, the best thing that can happen to a human being is to get into heaven either at death or at Rapture when Jesus Christ will take His people away and leave the ungodly to the wickedness of satan and demons for 7 whole years!

The ONLY way to escape this is to accept Jesus Christ. You cannot claim to know Jesus Christ and live a life that offends Him. You cannot claim to know Jesus Christ and refuse to share the Gospel with others whether verbally or via e-mail, or BB or whatever means technology affords as I am doing now as you read this post via blogger.

Dear friend, accepting Jesus Christ means believing He died for your sins and the sins of all mankind on the Cross of Calvary, repenting genuinely of your current life of sin and confessing them to Christ Jesus, asking Him to take over your life, promising Him to obey His commands and actually obeying His commands.

If you say you do not know what sin is, the Bible says "ALL wrong doing is sin (1 John 5:17)". The Bible also says "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin (James 4:17)". 

It is not a difficult thing to do because Jesus Christ will come and dwell in you once you accept and make up your mind to live right, and He, Jesus, will make it possible for you to live above sin by the Power of His Holy Spirit freely given to all who believe.

Dear friend, again, today, as you read this, the Lord Jesus Christ is calling you to come over to His side before it is too late. You have everything to gain and ABSOLUTELY nothing to lose by giving your life to Christ Jesus sincerely.
