CHRIST'S SALVATION MESSAGE IS MANKIND'S GREATEST LOVE STORY

Dear friends, today Saturday, February 14, 2015, many people in different parts of the world will celebrate Valentine's Day, also known as lovers' day.

However, while some will engage in simple acts of love like sending greeting cards, flowers, gifts, etc, what many will engage in, especially unmarried people, are immoral and unholy acts - fornication, adultery, alcohol, drunkenness, etc.

As usual, majority of those engaging in these acts are not bothered about the history of the feast of Valentine and have never bothered to find out - all they are interested in are the "fun" parts of the event.

All I have described in the preceding paragraphs is what is known as erotic love or a desire for sexual intimacy.

Dear friend, there is a true love story I want to share with you today. It is the Greatest love story of all and all mankind is involved in this love story. This type of love is called AGAPE OR DIVINE LOVE.

Most of us humans believe in God Almighty as the Creator and Sustainer of the entire Universe.

At the beginning of creation, God created a man called Adam, the first man and out of Adam, God created Eve, the first woman. All mankind regardless of creed, race, language, skin colour, etc therefore has Adam and Eve as first parents.

God placed our first parents in a Garden called Eden where they had access to every kind of food without working for it. God stayed with them and came around to fellowship with them regularly.

God left a simple instruction to Adam and Eve, to eat of every fruit tree in the garden, except the tree in the middle of the garden, which if they ate would mean death for them.

One day, satan or lucifer or the devil or azazel as he is variously called, the fallen angel driven from heaven, came in the form of a serpent to deceive Eve while Adam was away and made her eat the forbidden fruit in disobedience to God's simple command.

Eve later gave the same forbidden fruit to Adam and made him eat it. Immediately this happened, Adam and Eve died spiritually, sin and death entered the world.

This simple act of disobedience is what has brought untold hardship, suffering and wickedness in today's world.

God pronounced judgement on Adam, Eve and the serpent and drove them out of Eden and shut heaven against them.

However, because God created man out of Divine love, God still had a plan to redeem man from his sin of disobedience and to reconcile man with Himself, God Almighty.

God's plan was to leave His Glorious Throne in Heaven, take the form of a human being, enter into the womb of a virgin named Mary and was born into this world in Israel.

After 33 years on earth of spreading the message of Repentance, Redemption, Salvation, Reconciliation and Love, God's plan involved dying on a tree by crucifixion, a punishment reserved for the worst of criminals at that time. 

God shed His precious blood, first to free mankind from spiritual death and the stain of Adam and Eve's sin with which every human is born, reconcile mankind with Himself (God) and give an assurance of an eternity after physical death in heaven with God.

God chose 12 unknown men known as Apostles, of little or no education, to spread this message of Repentance, Redemption, Salvation, Reconciliation and Love and give an assurance of an eternity after physical death in heaven with God.

The work God did through those 12 Apostles is the same message preached today in Churches in different parts of the world.

Dear friend, God did all this for one simple reason - His eternal love for mankind. From the time of the Apostles till this very day as you read this message, God continues to tell this story of His love for us and tells us to listen, believe it and give our lives entirely to Him.

This is the greatest love story of all time and for all mankind - that their Creator gave His life for us just to bring us back to Him after a simple act of disobedience that has caused so much damage to the world.

Unfortunately, not many believe this story of AGAPE or DIVINE Love because satan and his demons are doing everything possible to distract them.

As many as can believe and accept this story, God gives them the power to become His children (John 1:12), the power to overcome all devices of satan, demons and all real enemies of God's children (Luke 10:19), the grace to live a holy life and the grace to ask for whatever they want and it would be granted by God Himself (John 14:12-14) and the grace to love and obey God (John 14:15).

Dear friend, this is a true story and this story of love will determine where every human being will spend eternity after departing this sinful world.

As for me and my home, we believe the story and by God's grace, Jesus Christ is our Lord, Master, Saviour and Messiah.

My prayer for you is that you will accept and believe this story and make Jesus Christ your Messiah for Jesus Christ is coming anytime NOW to take those who belong to Him.

May the good Lord bless and prosper you as you heed His Holy Word, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Most Precious Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
