WHY THERE IS NO PERFECT PLACE ON EARTH

There are times I come across statements on social media made by my fellow Nigerians who say with all the religion in Nigeria, why is the country still underdeveloped?

The people who usually ask this question are those who believe religion is the cause of the problem in the world, especially in Africa.

Such people also claim that in developed countries, there is not much focus on religion but a lot of progress is made by the governments of these countries especially as it concerns the welfare of citizens.

Dear friend, though this submission may seem true, the fact remains that every nation on earth has its own problems that may be similar to or different from those of another nation.

For instance, in Europe and North America, we keep reading and hearing of people of different ages who just go on a shooting spree killing many innocent people in schools, restaurants, and other public places.

We read and hear of teenagers who take hard drugs (cocaine, heroin, marijuana, etc) and some even die from hard drug overdose. We read and hear of even hard drug gangs who drive by the road and start shooting guns at innocent bystanders without any provocation.

We hear of cyber-bullying of innocent people by their peers and the victims then commit suicide when they cannot take it anymore.

When it comes to Africa and other developing nations, we read and hear of government officials who embezzle public funds for the development of their country and stash such huge sums of money in foreign banks!

Foreign governments then turn round to call the government officials of developing countries corrupt, but say little or nothing about the banks in their country that receive stolen funds!

It is also sad to see citizens of developing countries who also say the same thing without saying anything about the foreign banks who help to safe keep the stolen funds.

Now, for those who think religion is the problem of the world, I will advise them to read the Holy Bible, the ONLY written Word of God, to see if there is any verse in the bible that asks people to kill or to steal or to commit all the atrocities we see in today's world.

If such people read the Holy Bible and are unable to read any such verse, then it means their claim that religion is the cause of today's problems in the world is false as far as Christianity is concerned.

For those who ask why is Africa underdeveloped with all the prayers and religion there, I will answer them by saying it is because the leaders or rulers in most part of Africa do not have the fear of God and that is why they steal public funds.

The Word of God, the Holy Bible, does not command anyone to steal so anyone who steals is not a Christian! Also, the criminal justice system that works well in developed nations of the world is modelled after the commands of God in the Holy Bible.

It is written in Proverbs 18:5 "It is not good to show partiality to the wicked, or to overthrow the righteous in judgment."

It is also written in Exodus 23:1b-3 "Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice.

You shall not show partiality to a poor man in his dispute."

It is written in God's Word in 1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

Finally, I will quote another Bible verse in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they (people) will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."

Dear friend, I want you to believe that we are now living in that era when human beings are no longer enduring sound doctrine found in God's Word in the Holy Bible but run after their own desires.

This is why many government officials in developing nations take public funds with impunity and pervert the criminal justice system to protect their loot.

It is not as if these same things do not happen in developed nations but when the individual is caught there, the criminal justice system takes its logical course to punish the person accordingly.

So as you can see, dear friend, the problem is not with religion and especially Christianity as most misinformed individuals want to claim. Neither is the problem with God's Word that is clear on how human beings should behave.

God says humans should not live by bread alone but by every Word He (God) has spoken (Deuteronomy 8:3b; Matthew 4:4).

The problem in the world today, dear friend, is that human beings have used God's free-will given to them to choose their own paths, ways of life and ultimately, their destiny when they depart this world.

                                 

This is why there is no perfect place in today's world. The ONLY perfect place is heaven, where only those who qualify according to God’s standards in His Word in the Holy Bible will enter.

Sadly, majority of those who engage in misconduct and outright rebellion against God's perfect commands in the Holy Bible simply don't understand that they are doing satan's bidding and satan and demons are very pleased with them.

Unless such people repent and quickly too, they risk going to spend their eternity in HELL fire with satan.

Dear friend, Jesus Christ wants you to give your life to and live for Him alone because that is the ONLY guarantee to a joyous life here on earth and in the hereafter.

Please accept His offer, as you read this NOW, for tomorrow or later may be too late.
