THE GREATNESS OF OUR GOD (5)

Ever since I came to the realization of the value and power in God's Word, I have taken a conscious effort to study His Word and apply it in every area of my life - by PRAYER and by DECLARATION.

During conversation with people, I take time to listen to what they have to say and then advise them using God's Word.

No matter what you think or know is your problem, there is an answer for it in God's Word. Let me remind you for sake of emphasis that God's written Word is found ONLY in the Holy Bible and nowhere else.

No matter what anyone believes or thinks, what I have just stated in the preceding paragraph is a fact and is the truth.

It is written about God's Word in Psalm 138:2b, "For You have magnified Your word above all Your name."

What has man said that can stand above God's Word? Absolutely nothing!

For instance, a medical doctor says one has a terminal disease.

God's Word says in Galatians 3:13-14, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

Now what is the promise of the Spirit through faith? That all things are possible to him who believes (God's Word) - Mark 9:23.

If this is the case and God's Word says in Isaiah 53:5b, "And by His (Christ) stripes we are healed," then it means the person who believes this Word of God will not die but be healed of any sickness no matter how deadly it is.

Again, if a teacher says a child will amount to nothing in life because the child does not learn fast enough like other children, what does God's Word say?

God's Word says in Deuteronomy 28:13a, And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath."

In another instance, someone threatens you with evil power or voodoo or witchcraft power and says you will die in one month. Well, God's Word says in Psalm 118:17, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord."

God's Word also says in Psalm 91:9-10, "Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

Again, maybe someone in your work place or place of business or neighbourhood threatens to deal with you over a disagreement and you are trying to make peace with the person.

Now, God's Word says in Jeremiah 1:19, "They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.”

Dear friend, we can go on and on and on about God's Word. The truth is, it does not matter what a human being has said concerning you in any situation. What matters is what God has said and whether you believe it or not.

As our Lord Jesus Christ has said, If you CAN believe, all things are possible to him or her who believes" - Mark 9:23.

God says in Isaiah 55:10-11, "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

Dear friend, it is pertinent to point out here that the promises of God are for every human being because God is the One who created everyone in His image and likeness.

However, there is ONE condition to benefit from these promises, which is that a person must first repent of sin, evil and wrongdoing and give his or her life to Jesus Christ.

Once the person does this GENUINELY from heart, it automatically activates the ability to benefit from God's promises in the Holy Bible.

Also, even when you have given your life to Jesus and live in strict obedience to His commands in the Holy Bible, you must actively seek His promises by reading the Bible because you cannot have what you do not look for, and you will never know what God has promised if you neglect to study His Word.

Anyone who can do these things will live a victorious life here on earth and then depart this world to go spend eternity with Jesus Christ forever in heaven.

God has said in Psalm 89:34, "My covenant I will not break, nor alter the Word that has gone out of My lips."

This, dear friend, is the Greatness of our God - He cannot fail to keep His Word and because of this, anyone who make conscious effort to know God's Word in the Holy Bible and diligently obey it will always receive whatsoever he or she desires in life.

The question, dear friend, is, do you believe? You will never know unless you try, so what are you waiting for?

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Most Wonderful Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. The police have since found and arrested him.   Reports have it that the man was fond of beating his late wife at the slightest provocation, which has eventually led to her death in this latest incident.   Again, what could have caused this incessant violence?   Medical experts claim that humans have 2 s...

GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
