THE GREATNESS OF OUR GOD (7) - THE WONDER OF THE HUMAN BODY

Scientists have estimated that there are about 37.2 TRILLION cells in the human body! If we were to line the cells one by one it would form a length that would be about 744,000 kilometres!

And these are building blocks of life that are in every adult human body. Though there are different cells that last several days or even weeks forming tissues and organs to perform different functions in the body, the human body loses about 96 million cells every minute and the same number of cells is reproduced within the same time period to replace the lost ones.

Dear friend, knowing that without cells no human being would survive, and knowing that every human being came from the relations between a man and woman and end up with these number of cells in their bodies, how can one not be amazed at this great wonder of the world?

How can one know this and still claim that there is no God? Is it possible that this magnificent phenomenon of the human body just came into existence without any Deity's intervention or influence?

Well, the psalmist says in Psalm 139:1, "O Lord, You have searched me and known me." The psalmist further says in Psalm 139:13-16, "13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed."


It is clear from these verses of the Bible that God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the Author of the great wonder of the human body, just like He is responsible for every other creation.

This, once again, is the greatness of our God - the One who is able to do all things.

When you take time to meditate on each item of creation, it will become clear to you that there is a God who exists and His existence is evident in the wonders of this world.

This God has told human beings to believe in Him, repent of sin and evil, turn to His Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and reach Him ONLY through Jesus Christ.

This same God has given us a Manual of Life called the Holy Bible to guide us to know His Ways and how to access Him and how to enjoy a fruitful life here on earth (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 15:4).

This same God has said humans shall not live by bread alone but by every Word He has spoken (Matthew 4:4).

He has told us in His Word that Jesus Christ is coming soon to judge the world (Acts 17:31). All who are found guilty will end up spending ETERNITY in hell fire while all who pass the judgement will spend ETERNITY with Him in heaven.

Heaven is real, Hell is real, Eternity is real, life after death is real. Today and now, not later, is the day of decision to come to God through Jesus Christ. Tomorrow may be too late.

May the good Lord bless and prosper you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
