DON'T BE TOO BUSY TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST
Today,
Saturday June 13, 2015 my Church group organized evangelism within my home area
so we broke into smaller groups to go share the Gospel with others.
As
usual, we observed that people naturally moved away once they saw people
clutching the Holy Bible approaching to speak to them.
Even
those I know personally who worked for me as artisans claimed to be very busy
to listen and when we got one or two to listen, they would walk away claiming
to go and attend to customer's jobs.
After
a while, we would see them chatting in groups and not doing the work they
claimed they were busy attending to that made them refuse to listen to the
Gospel message in the first instance.
I
did not feel bad or disappointed because I recollect I was once like that,
always taking off once I sighted people clutching the Holy Bible and
approaching to share the Gospel with me.
Now
that I know better, I regret all those times of foolishness and ignorance when
I ran away from the best thing that could happen to any human - the opportunity
of knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Most
Christians prefer those who would not object because it makes the Gospel
message easier to share.
However,
those who need it most are the ones who run away from it. Now I realise that I
have no right to be upset at them but rather to continue to pray that God would
show them the same mercy He showed me to become a committed Christian.
Our
Lord Jesus Christ says in John 12:47-48, "47 And if anyone hears My Words
and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world
but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My Words, has
that which judges him — the Word that I have spoken will judge him in the last
day."
Every
human born into this world is destined to die someday, a day no one knows
except God our Creator (Psalm 139:16). Once a person exits this world in death,
the only thing that would matter is how the person treated God's Word in the
Holy Bible for those who heard the Word preached by whatever means - whether on
Television, tract, radio, Mobile Phone, Internet, etc.
Every
activity we are so busy attending to now will automatically end that day and would
mean nothing any more.
Unfortunately,
for the individual who has not known Jesus Christ personally and did not care
about giving his or her life to Jesus, such individual CANNOT enter Heaven
where God the Creator is.
Anyone
who cannot enter heaven at death in eternity has only one other place to go -
HELL FIRE.
The
final destination at death for any one, whether male or female, young or old,
rich or poor, sick or healthy, is a permanent one- it can never change and it
is forever and ever and ever.
Therefore,
dear friend, a wise person would constantly meditate on these things and take
time to know God and ask Him to reveal the truth to him or her.
If
you were not born into Christianity, the sensible thing to do now, having read
this message is to pray earnestly to God Almighty to reveal His truth to you
concerning what Christians say about God, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy
Spirit.
The
God I know and serve will SURELY respond to a genuine request from any one of
any nationality or religious inclination who wishes to know the truth. God does
not want any soul to perish but for all to repent and return to Him through our
Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:9).
Also,
a person born into Christianity is expected to study God's Word found ONLY in
the Holy Bible, to ensure to practise what is written there diligently and ask
God to send His Holy Spirit to guide him or her ALWAYS.
The
God I know and serve will also respond to such genuine request because of His
love for everyone.
On
the other hand, anyone who fails to make this genuine request to God in prayer
and claims to be too busy to hear His message or too busy to serve Him as all
Christians are expected will only blame himself or herself in the end because
God will do what He says He will do.
God's
Word says everyone of us will CERTAINLY give account of their stewardship here
on earth to Him at the end of their lives (2 Corinthians 5:10;Romans 14:12).
Dear
friend, please I urge you not to be too busy to know Jesus Christ and His Ways.
There are enormous benefits attached to this and the consequences of failing to
heed this advice are better imagined than experienced.
May
the good Lord bless you as you heed His Holy Word today, act on it and share
with others in Jesus' Precious Name, Amen.
Gabriel
Ama.
