MIRACLES - ONE FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHRISTIANITY AND ALL OTHER RELIGIONS

While He was here on earth as a human being, our Lord Jesus Christ performed astounding miracles to confirm that He was sent by God.

The Religion Jesus Christ established on earth and commissioned His Apostles to take to the entire world is called Christianity and Christians are followers of Jesus Christ in word and deed.

Now, when Jesus Christ was about leaving the earth to ascend into heaven, He commissioned His Apostles with the following Words in Matthew 28:18-20 “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Notice that Jesus Christ said All Authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Him.

In commissioning His Apostles to go share the Gospel with all nations, Jesus Christ gave them the same Authority. That same authority has been handed down over the centuries to this very day to all preachers of the Gospel of Christ, that is, all Christians who follow Jesus in Word and Deed.

A part of this authority given to Christians is in the area of miracles. Now, a miracle is an event not explicable by natural or scientific laws. Such event is attributable to a Supernatural Being, God Almighty, in all cases.

We know this because God's Word tells us in Mark 10:27b, "for all things are possible with God."

What kind of miracles did Jesus give Christian Believers the authority to undertake? We see examples in Matthew 10:1 & 8 "AND JESUS summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and all kinds of weakness and infirmity."

8 "Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely (without pay) you have received, freely (without charge) give."

We see other examples in Mark 16:15-18 "And Jesus said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].

16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned.

17 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;

18 They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well."

Jesus even makes it clear that anyone who believes in Him and obeys His commands will perform the same or even greater miracles than He (Jesus) did while here on earth (John 14:12).

Indeed, there have been reports of astounding miracles undertaken by Christian Believers such as raising the dead and even re-growth of lost or broken limbs of the human body.

One thing should be clear here, dear friend: the power through which ALL miracles undertaken by a Christian Believer is performed is God's Holy Spirit and it is ONLY through the Precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ that these miracles are done.

Recall, Jesus said all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him and He passed the same authority to His Apostles at the Great Commission.

Therefore, every Christian Believer has this same Authority given to him or her. What this means also, is that when a tragedy takes place such as the death of a person, a Christian Believer is expected to raise the dead in the Name and Power of Jesus Christ because Jesus has given the Authority to us to do so!

It means there is no situation that a Christian Believer cannot overcome. It means the individual who believes Jesus, and sincerely obeys Jesus' commands will be given the authority to perform astounding miracles.

Dear friend, one other thing should also be clear here. If it is only in Christianity and a Christian that this authority to perform miracles resides, it means Christianity is the ONLY acceptable way of life to God.

It also means no other way leads to God outside of Christianity. It also means no other religion is worshipping the God of Heaven and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in Whom ALONE resides ALL DOMINION, ALL POWER AND ALL AUTHORITY.

This also means a sensible person who has read this message and who is not yet a Christian should carefully consider this and give his or her life to Jesus Christ.

This also means everyone engaged in the occult, witchcraft, necromancy, magic, idol worship, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, lodge, amorc, rosicrucian, eckankar, ogboni, worship of stars, sun, moon,  grail message, or any group that does NOT pay total and divine homage to our Lord Jesus Christ as the Messiah and Son of God are all agents of the devil.

Now you will ask me, how do I know this? I will answer by simply asking you to tell any member of any one of these groups to raise a dead person to life to confirm their power.

I know the answer - the person cannot do it because satan their god does not have such power or authority.

When the person fails, then call a Christian whom you would have invited to the same place to call the name of Jesus Christ over the dead person and the dead person will come back to life INSTANTLY.

A Christian's prayer to God in the Name of Jesus Christ will bring the dead person back to life for one major reason: for the unbelieving persons to see the power and authority of Jesus Christ and for the unbelieving persons to surrender their lives TOTALLY to Jesus Christ.

Dear friend, the truth is, Jesus Christ does not want anybody to die and go to HELL with satan forever. Anyone who dies without Jesus Christ in his or her life will never enter heaven.

As you have now understood this, the time to repent and give your life to Jesus Christ is today and NOW, for tomorrow or later may be too late.

Go ahead now and pray to Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come into your life as Lord and Saviour and make a promise to follow Him and Him alone all the days.

If you do not know what to say, then pray these words of SALVATION:

Lord Jesus Christ, I have read today's post and I have come to understand that You created me and You have always existed and You alone have everlasting power as God.

I now understand that living a life of sin makes me obey satan Your creature rather than You my Creator.

I repent sincerely of all my sins today. I confess my sins (pause here and PLEASE mention all the sins you can remember without pretending to forget any). I promise never to go back to them.

I promise to accept You today as Lord of my life and live in strict obedience to Your commands by the Power of Your Holy Spirit.

I promise to find a true Church where Your Holy Word is taught from the Holy Bible and I promise to fellowship regularly with them and obey all You teach me through them till I depart this world to come be with You in eternity.

I promise that in spite of any obstacle I may face as a Christian, I will follow you my Creator and trust in You to overcome challenges because You are able to do all things for me as Your Word has said.

Thank You Lord for saving me. In Your precious Name I have prayed, Amen.
