CHRISTIAN, WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

At times I hear some people who profess Christianity make some statements that shows very little or no understanding of their faith as Christians.

A typical example of such statement is to say that no one has been to heaven and back. This wrong statement is premised on the faulty assumption that death is final and one who dies and whose soul has departed cannot return back to this world.

Our very faith as Christians is built on the foundation that our Lord Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day.

If Jesus Christ did not die and rise again as He said He would and then did, then Christianity would not exist and we who practise it today would only be fooling ourselves.

Now what happened when Jesus Christ died? He went to a part of HELL called Hades to recover the keys of death from satan the deceiver and Jesus also went to recover souls who had died before He came as a human being, who were qualified to enter heaven but could not because man was spiritually separated from God by the sin of Adam and Eve our first parents.

When Jesus gave His life for our sins, heaven became opened and thus Jesus was able to lead the souls who qualified into heaven.

How do I know all this? I know because it is recorded in God's Word in the Holy Bible. It is written in Ephesians 4:8-10, Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.”

9(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

We also see Apostle Paul speak about his own experience in heaven in 2 Corinthians 12:2-4, I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. 

And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

We also have the case of John the Evangelist in Revelation 4:1-2, "After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne."

Dear friend, with these evidences in the Holy Bible and Christ Jesus our Lord's resurrection from the dead as the foundation of our faith, it is therefore sheer ignorance for a Christian to state that nobody has been to heaven and back.

If you have been making such wrong statement in the past, today and now, you know better. This is why every Christian must read God's Word in the Holy Bible to see, know and obey what is stated therein as God has commanded in Matthew 4:4.

There is nothing God cannot do and even as I write, God is still taking people to show heaven and hell and sending a warning to mankind to repent of sin and evil, give their lives to Jesus Christ and obey God's command in the Holy Bible as the only guarantee of entering heaven.

Dear friend, time is running out. The hour is indeed at hand. Jesus Christ our Lord is coming NOW.

Give your life to Jesus Christ today, and NOW, and be saved for tomorrow or later would be too late.

May the good Lord bless and prosper you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Most Powerful Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
