THE GREATEST BEING WHO CAME TO EARTH

Colossians 1:15-20
15 "[Now] He (Jesus) is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation.

16 For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him.

17 And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together). [Prov. 8:22-31.]

18 He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent].

19 For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently.

20 And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross."

The above Holy Bible scriptures give a perfect example of the attributes and greatness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Jesus came to earth for one sole purpose, to destroy the works of the devil and reconcile mankind back to God as it was at the beginning when God's glory was with mankind.

Jesus achieved this through His sacrificial death on the Cross of Calvary whereupon He shed His most precious blood.

Jesus went about doing good and He lived a perfect life as an example to all mankind that one can traverse this earth without sin and live a life that pleases God the Father Almighty.

Our Lord Jesus Christ performed some of the most astounding miracles recorded in the history of mankind.

Two perfect examples are when He turned water into wine (John 2:1-11) and also when He walked on water - Matthew 14:25-27.

Jesus confirmed His Lordship even over the world of darkness and demons - Mark 5:2-6; Luke 10:17-19.

Jesus also made it clear that anyone who has seen Him has seen God the Father Almighty, therefore confirming His Divine nature as the Son of God - John 14:9; John 10:30.

Jesus again made it clear that no human being can reach God without going through Him - John 14:6.

Dear friend, you would do well to read again the lead Bible text at the start of this post and you would realize that the Greatest Being to traverse the face of the earth as a human is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Jesus says He is coming NOW!

He is indeed coming to take the people who are ready to receive Him and leave others at the mercy and evil of satan, demons and their agents.

The only people who qualify to follow Jesus when He comes again are those who have repented of sin and evil, confessed and forsaken it, accepted Him (Jesus) as Lord of their lives and are living in strict obedience to Jesus' commands in the Holy Bible.

By strict obedience, I mean following God's directives in His Word in the Holy Bible without asking questions or trying to figure out if it is true or not.

Every Word of God is true (Psalm 119:89, 160) and remains forever (Isaiah 40:8) and Jesus Christ is the Word of God - John 1:1,14; 1 John 5:7; Revelation 19:13.

You would therefore do well, dear friend, to follow Jesus Christ Who is the Word of God.

Following Jesus Christ on earth is optional. However, let it be known to all that the consequences of following or not following Jesus Christ on earth are eternal.

Please decide today and NOW, dear friend, for tomorrow may be too late.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
