WHY WORRY WHEN YOU CAN TELL JESUS CHRIST?
These days anytime I hear people lamenting
over a situation and they say there is nothing they can do about it, I usually
respond, "But you can pray about it."
By the grace of God, I have come to realise
that I am supposed to pray over every situation or challenge I have.
If I choose to worry, it means I limit God
in His capacity, willingness and ability to help me. Worry never solves any
problem but rather has a negative effect on the individual who worries.
Worry affects your health, limits God from
helping you because of doubt and opens the door to satan and his agents to
attack the individual.
The challenge with most of us Christians is
that we do not fully grasp what it means to have a personal relationship with
our Lord Jesus Christ.
We see Jesus Christ the way we see a human
being, that is, there should be a limit to what we should ask or discuss with
Him.
On the contrary, Jesus is ever willing to
listen to us because He has clearly told us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labour and are
heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and
relieve and refresh your souls.]"
From the Words of our Lord, it is obvious
He is never tired of listening to us because it shows we recognize Him as the
One Who alone can do all things for us.
Jesus has no reason to be tired because He
is God and wants to have a personal relationship with us. Jesus is our Creator
and therefore has the capacity to do all things for us.
He does not lack the resources because He
created the Universe by His spoken Word (Hebrews 11:3) and by that same spoken
Word, He is able to change or improve any situation.
This grace to have a relationship with God
He has given to every human being.
However, there is a condition to access and
benefit from this grace. The condition is simple - you must repent of sin and
evil, confess them to Jesus Christ, give your life to Him and live as He has
commanded in the Holy Bible, His Word.
Dear friend, if you are able to do this,
you can be sure that you will continue to experience challenges in life BUT,
the difference now is that you will enjoy the blessings and solutions that
Jesus alone provides because of your understanding and relationship with Him.
When you have a relationship with Jesus and
you tell the problem to Him, He will always provide a solution.
You must trust Him and believe He can do
it. The way to believe and trust Him is by ensuring that you are living
according to His will.
God's Word tells us in Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to
please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must
[necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who
earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]."
Therefore, you do not have to worry
yourself over any issue but hand it over to Jesus and praise Him with songs and
prayer and leave the rest to Him.
My Jesus can do all things and He can solve
all problems. He is Lord of all creation.
Turn to Him today and live a life of peace
from your relationship with Him. Remember it must not only be when you have challenges
that you run to Jesus but you MUST praise, adore and worship Him when things
are also going well for you.
This is acknowledge that you are grateful
to Him as your source of every good thing.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His
Word today, act on it and share it with others in Jesus' Most Powerful Name,
Amen.
