FALLING IN LOVE WITH JESUS

Falling in love with our Lord Jesus Christ is the best thing that can happen to anyone.

One thing you will discover is a peace in your heart and life that surpasses all human understanding. 

Something else you will realize is that with Jesus there is nothing to worry about because He is able to provide all your needs, as long as it is according to His will or in line with His Word in the Holy Bible.

Even when people offend you, as long as you recall that Jesus died for your sins also and you offend Him every single day of your life knowingly and unknowingly, you would readily forgive the offender.

Unfortunately, not very many Christians are able to reach this level of understanding because their minds are distracted by the cares of this world.

This is the reason our Lord Jesus Christ told the parable of the sower in Matthew 13 to distinguish the different kinds of mind-set people have in relation to God's Word and how it affects their lives.

According to our Lord Jesus Christ, it is only the person who allows God's Word in the Holy Bible to take root in his or her heart that would produce lasting and effective fruits in life - Matthew 13:23.

 This is one experience the person who falls in love with Jesus would have - falling in love also with Jesus' Words in the Bible and putting it into practice.

The person who falls in love with Jesus would do all within his or her power to ensure not to offend Him because Jesus says, "if you love Me, you will keep My commandments." - John 14:15.

In today's world, only few Christians understand this point because we hear a lot of stories of atrocities and sinful habits of self-professed Christians that create a scandal for Christianity and this is very, very sad.

You simply cannot claim to be a Christian and still be living in sin or wrong doing of any kind, which is the character of the devil and his followers!

When you fall in love with Jesus, you will have compassion on other people. It will never be in your heart to hurt others because the Holy Spirit of God that raised Jesus Christ from the dead will be at work in your heart.

It would not be in your heart to dupe or cheat or maltreat others when you fall in love with Jesus.

One very valuable fruit the person who falls in love with Jesus will have will be to share the Gospel message of Repentance and Salvation with others because the person would be eager to tell others about Jesus. This is why it is called the Good News.

It is a story of God's immeasurable love for us, His creatures and how our first parents Adam and Eve offended God, disconnected themselves from Him and how Jesus the Son of God and Messiah came to die for the sins of mankind and reconnected mankind to God.

Dear friend, I thank God for the mercy He showed me by making me fall in love with Jesus Christ - John 6:44,65.

It is a love that would always bring tears to your eyes when you recollect how sinful a life you have lived in the past but how God through Jesus Christ forgave you, and wiped it all away and brought you by His grace into His fold and tells you through His Holy Spirit to remain connected to Him in love and obedience to His commands in the Holy Bible.

Now, because of my love for Jesus, I am not afraid of any circumstance or human being or whatever evil force there is because I know Jesus loves me first and cares for me always.

The best that can happen to the person who has fallen in love with Jesus Christ genuinely is that at the end of this life, the person will be with Jesus Christ forever in heaven.

I am telling this story because I know it is what Jesus expects me to do - share the Gospel with others. If you truly love Jesus, you can never get tired of sharing the Gospel.

I enjoy sharing it with others because the Holy Spirit gives me the grace to do so as Jesus has promised in John 15:1-5.

Dear friend, even as you read this, you and everyone else has the same opportunity to fall in love with Jesus.

No matter what your past has been, no matter what circumstance you are currently facing, it is only Jesus that can resolve it all.

Today and now is the moment of decision to seize this opportunity to fall in love with Jesus and enjoy every blessing He has promised to those who so do.

Please do not throw this opportunity away for that would make Jesus very sad. Remember, Jesus is your Creator - Colossians 1:16 - and He wants you to know that and experience the blessed life that He alone can give.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Precious Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
