SERVING GOD AND MONEY

Dear friend, our Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in)."

There are many people these days who claim they are too busy to serve God but they are always chasing after their personal interests.

They make all manner of excuses on the premise that even the money required in the Church to run the affairs there, they are the ones to work for it.

One thing we must realize is that it is God who gives the power to create wealth - Deuteronomy 8:18. Therefore, it is not by your power that you prosper if you are doing well in life.

Faith in God demands that we acknowledge Him always as the One Who does all things for us and gratitude to God demands we give God thanks for every single item of blessing in our lives.

There is nothing we brought into this world and there is nothing we can take out of this world. Genuine wealth can only come from God.

What this means, dear friend, is that there is nothing you have achieved in this life LEGITIMATELY that is not given to you by God.

Notice I used the word LEGITIMATELY because there is illegitimate wealth and that is never from God Who is Holy and Righteous. You cannot boast about your wealth because it is God Who has given you.

If you have this understanding about God and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, then you have entered into the Supernatural realm where there is no scarcity and where everything is possible as far as God is concerned.

With this understanding, then, you do not need to be desperate to solve your problems including financial, but you would rather commit all into the hands of a God whose capacity, resources and ability is LIMITLESS.

With this understanding, you will always find it easy to serve God with joy and happiness because you know that He ALONE would take care of your needs.

Remember, it is God Who gives you the power to create wealth. The question is, do you believe?

If you believe, then your faith must show in your actions. Your actions must reveal a deep and unconditional trust in God.

Trust in God means, as He has commanded, you have repented sincerely of sin, given your life to Jesus Christ as Messiah and Lord, you are living in strict obedience to God's commands in the Holy Bible and you are serving God.

Serving God also includes telling others about the Gospel of Repentance and Salvation as He has commanded in Mark 16:15-16.

Once you are able to do these things, then Jesus will certainly take care of ALL your needs. You ask, how do I know this?

Well, I respond by telling you my life is concrete proof of what I have stated above. This is also the reason why you are reading this and other posts I have sent out by God's grace to tell of the love of God, of His Son our Lord Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus loves you. Jesus is coming again. Jesus is coming now. Please believe what I am saying and come to Jesus today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
