GOD'S WILL FOR HUMANS IS PROSPERITY
2 PETER 3:1
"For His (God's) divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)."
Dear people of God, the knowledge, correct application through meditation, belief and confession of God's Word in the Holy Bible is the key to every blessing we desire in life.
Today's lead text tells us God has bestowed upon us all that is required for life and godliness. Since God's Word is true, it means every true child of God has this life and godliness bestowed upon him or her.
So, why are most Christians still struggling and begging God to bless them when He has already done so?
It is because of ignorance the second part of today's lead Bible text - you see when you have the full personal knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue), then you understand that that knowledge would make God honour His Word in your life when you believe and confess it against all odds.
So, reading and meditating on God's Word is important. Believing God's Word and confession is much more important to get you the blessings God has already bestowed upon you.
It is therefore thanksgiving to God for the knowledge of His Word and prayerful worship of God that Christians should focus on activating God's blessings upon them.
Dear friend, God's will for us is prosperity in every area of our lives - 3 John 1:2. Stop looking for prosperity in the wrong places. Look sincerely to know everything about God and you will prosper.
How do I know this? It is because Jesus Christ, my Lord, the Word of God and Righteous Son of God has said so in Matthew 6:33, and I know His Word is forever settled in heaven - Psalm 119:89.
Make a decision today and now, to trust sincerely and live in strict obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ and you shall surely prosper.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Most Powerful Name, Amen.
