CHRISTMAS DAY
1 John 4:14.
"And [besides] we ourselves have seen (have deliberately and
steadfastly contemplated) and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son [as
the] Savior of the world."
Dear friends, today,
Sunday December 25, 2016, Christians the world over commemorate and celebrate
one of the greatest spiritual events this universe has seen - the birth of the
Messiah Jesus Christ, Who left His glory in heaven to become a human being for one
singular purpose - to die for the sins of mankind, redeem mankind from the
works of the devil and reconcile mankind back to God.
I tell you, this is
worth celebrating. However, majority of Christians today are only focused on
the commercial and material side of the celebration and not the spiritual side,
which is most important.
Please go to Church
with your families today and thank God for what He did when He sent His only
begotten Son to this sinful world for the reason I have mentioned above.
If you choose to
celebrate in sin, too bad because not only are you offending God, you run the
risk of losing your soul in eternity. Don't waste your time and money drinking
alcohol, smoking cigarettes and dancing to worldly immoral music.
Rather, spend time meditating
on the significance of Christmas and discuss this significance as you sit down
to feast with family and friends.
If a non-Christian
asks you what it is you celebrate today, Christmas Day, please use the
opportunity to share the Gospel of Repentance and Salvation with the person.
God bless you as you
do so.
Merry Christmas!
Gabriel Ama.
