GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD (2)
Job 8:20
20 “Behold, as surely as God will never uphold wrongdoers, He will never cast away a blameless man.”
Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text is a reminder of God’s integrity as far as His Word is concerned.
A pastor gave a testimony of how the Lord Jesus Christ once appeared to him and gave him a message to another pastor whose faith was so great that God was performing astounding miracles through him.
The message to this pastor was that he should judge himself on his relationship with other ministers, judge himself on money and judge himself on food.
The pastor who was sent to deliver the message said he was afraid the other pastor would slap him so he never got the courage to deliver the message.
Unfortunately, within 3 years of this directive from the Lord, this pastor with great faith for whom the message was meant died.
Why do I tell this true story? It is for us to learn and see that the fact that God performs astounding miracles through a person of great faith is not a guarantee that such a person is in right standing with God.
The pastor of great faith was able to perform astounding miracles because God cannot violate His Word that says “all things are possible to the person who believes” – Mark 9:23.
However, the same God Who allowed the great miracles in the hands of the pastor of great faith also did not violate His Word of warning to the pastor in the 3 areas where the pastor was found wanting!
Again, today’s lead Bible text is clear in Job 8:20, “Behold, as surely as God will never uphold wrongdoers, He will never cast away a blameless man.”
If we relate this Bible text to the pastor of great faith, we see that God never upheld or endorsed him for his wrong doing in the 3 identified areas and because he never got to repent in those areas, the devil took advantage of him and killed him 3 years later.
Dear friend, the lesson here is that we should never take for granted God’s Word in the Holy Bible or if given by revelation. It is a dangerous thing to do because God will never violate His Word for anyone no matter who you are.
Have you learned any lesson today? Thank God for this opportunity. Most importantly, examine your life in relation to God’s commands and your personal relationship with Him, repent and make amends immediately in the areas you are found wanting before it is too late!
If you are yet to understand the Person of God, it is in your best interest to prayerfully and diligently study His Word in the Holy Bible so you know how to relate to God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus Most Righteous Name, Amen
