GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD (3)

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

Dear people of God, on January 25, 2017, I re-posted a WhatsApp message I received. It was a message whose author is a female pastor in Nigeria who said God asked her to write the message and post it and state that it be shared the same way she had posted a message sometime recently calling for fasting and prayers in Nigeria for the current bloodshed and terrorism in many different parts of the land.

According to the pastor, God said before any fasting and prayers take place, people must have an inward purging or repentance for their many sins. God is angry at the horrible sins self professed Christians and pastors in Nigeria are committing.

Let me list some of the sins God says self professed Christians and pastors in Nigeria are committing: backbiting, backstabbing, jealousy, malice, evil competition, voodoo killing, occultic and satanic manipulation, jezebelian spirit, pride, iniquitous wealth accumulation, blasphemy, boastfulness, sexual immorality, rape, battery, ridicule, pollution and desecration of His temple, lying against His spirit.

How can anyone expect God to hear prayers of people who commit such evil when His Word in today’s lead Bible text is clear and we have seen in my last two posts on this same topic that God cannot violate His Word for anyone?

It has even degenerated to the extent that some ignorant pastors are calling for Christians to go on a killing spree of innocent people who have done nothing to them and some ignorant others are defending the evil call to kill others!

God says He is the one Who has allowed what is happening in Nigeria and only few would be saved but what is happening would continue until people repent and retrace their steps back into holiness!

God has also warned as He continues to do that Armageddon is near. God says people are taking the blood of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ for granted and His grace as licence for continuous sin.

Dear friend, nobody can take God’s mercy for granted in this world and escape God’s justice in the after-life.

A friend only last week told me a sad story of a man I had shared the Gospel with some 3 years ago who just died two weeks earlier without having Jesus Christ as his Messiah.

This same man had told me when I shared the Gospel with him then that he was okay with his own faith he was practising and that he had never opened the Holy Bible to read it and he had no intention of ever opening it.

Despite my appeal, he saw no reason to open the Holy Bible to read. Now that he has died, it is too late for him because on the other side, satan and demons would have reminded him how I tried to share the Gospel with him and how he refused.

I really felt sad when I learned of his death but again, that is how it will be for many who stubbornly refuse to heed the warning and opportunities to repent God is giving them every moment of their life here on earth.

Am I saying I am better than anyone or absolutely sure of entering heaven? The answer is no because I, like everyone else is living under God’s mercy and grace and I ask God to show mercy on me, grant me grace and show me areas where I have erred in violation of His Word so I can repent.

But please let me make it clear to you that God’s mercy and grace is not a license to sin as many ignorant people say, that once you are born again you are born again forever. That is not God’s doctrine but a doctrine of demons (1 Timothy 4:1) meant to deceive ignorant people.

God’s Word makes clear the fate of MATURED Christians who take His grace for granted and return to sinful living.

It is written in Hebrews 6:4-6, “For it is impossible [to restore and bring again to repentance] those who have been once for all enlightened, who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the Holy Spirit,

5 And have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty powers of the age and world to come,

6 If they then deviate from the faith and turn away from their allegiance–[it is impossible] to bring them back to repentance, for (because, while, as long as) they nail upon the cross the Son of God afresh [as far as they are concerned] and are holding [Him] up to contempt and shame and public disgrace.”

This is exactly what the Holy Bible refers to as “sin that leads to death” and no amount of prayers can save such person.

Before you shout in disbelief, please read 1 John 5:16-17 and see for yourself.

Dear friend, God cannot violate His Word. Please stop today and now if you claim to be a Christian and you are taking God for granted because God will never overlook wrong doing unless the person repents.

Again, please read 1 John 5:16-17 to see and understand what is there as I have earlier explained above so you know that not everyone is qualified.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
