THE TRAGEDY OF THE IGNORANT CHRISTIAN

Dear friend, until you know who you are in Christ Jesus as a Christian, you will continue to struggle in life and probably wondering at times if God does not love you.

If you are not yet a Christian, it is even worse because the person is living in darkness without realizing it.

In his book “I Believe in Visions”, Pastor Kenneth E. Hagin (now late) tells how the Lord Jesus Christ speaking to him about divine healing mentioned 3 categories of people:

(1)  Those who have gone out of the Lord’s perfect will for their lives and entered into His permissive will and are therefore encountering difficulties of health challenges caused by the devil.

(2)  Those whose faith is weak and they are unable to appropriate divine healing, which is a right of a child of God given by God Himself.

(3)  Those who don’t even know divine healing is given to them as a right from God.

In fact, this same principle applies to everything else we encounter as human beings in this world.

Fortunately for everyone, the Holy Bible, the only Word of God in written form is there for all to study to see all the answers to life’s issues – 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Unfortunately for majority of people including Christians, they look for the answers to life’s issues outside the Word of God in the Holy Bible.

Now, getting outside of God’s perfect will into His permissive will means exposing one’s self to the dangers posed by satan.

For instance, the Israelites got out of God’s perfect will into His permissive will when they rejected God Almighty their Creator and Father and asked for an earthly king for themselves after the fashion of the ungodly and pagan nations around them.

God told the prophet Samuel to grant them their wish because it was Him (God) they rejected and not Samuel – 1 Samuel 8:7.

What was the result of their actions? The Israelites went after their own decisions, worshiping idols like the pagan nations and exposing themselves further to attacks by the powers of darkness represented by satan, his demons and their human agents.

You can get out of God’s perfect will into His permissive will by what you say, think  and do, which is why a Christian must pray to God to reveal His perfect will for the Christian’s life.

Another classic example was Job whose got into God’s permissive will through fear and this was why God gave permission to satan to hurt him. Job says in Job 3:25, “For the thing which I greatly fear comes upon me, and that of which I am afraid befalls me.”

So the spirit of fear removes one from God’s perfect will into God’s permissive will. Now, remaining in God’s permissive will means satan has a chance to strike at you and hurt you.

It also means the person may not live long enough as God has ordained for him or her unless the person gets back into God’s perfect will. Take note that anytime we disobey God’s commands as Christians, we move from His perfect will into His permissive will.

Does this sound too difficult for anyone? No, it shouldn’t. What you should rather do is thank God for this knowledge He has given to you today as you read this message.

Also, ensure to act on it by repenting sincerely, asking God for forgiveness and asking Him to order your steps according to His Word and that no iniquity should have dominion over you – Psalm 119:133.

For the other 2 groups of people the Lord Jesus mentioned about having weak faith and not even knowing what their right is as Christians, it is for them, including the first group and indeed every human being to study and meditate on the Word of God in the Holy Bible.

That way, you will become acquainted with your rights as a child of God, the covenants and amazing promises of God for His children and exactly how to appropriate them through faith, meditation, confession and action.

Dear friend, if you are reading this and are not yet a child of God, you are missing big time on God’s blessings for your life and risking not spending eternity with God in heaven when you depart this world.

It is written in John 1:12, “But to as many as did receive and welcome Him (Jesus Christ), He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name.”  

Yes, dear friend, even though God created you out of His Divine love without your permission, God needs your permission to become your Father and for you to become His child.

As you can see from the Scripture in John 1:12, you can only become God’s child and have the power, privilege and right as a child of God when you believe and surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ the One and only Messiah.

It is not a difficult thing to do because it guarantees you access into enormous blessings here on earth and most importantly access into heaven forever when you leave this world.

There is simply no other way to enter heaven except through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Accepting Jesus Christ as your Messiah is therefore the singular and most important decision any human being can make in this life.

Rejecting Jesus Christ or disobeying His commandments in the Holy Bible is the most tragic decision a human being will ever make.

Please choose well and choose right today and now, for tomorrow may be too late.
