TAKE THE MATTER TO JESUS CHRIST IN PRAYER
Every human child
that has a pressing issue to resolve runs to tell his or her earthly father or
mother.
They do so because
they believe their parents would resolve the matter for them. It never really
occurs to them how their parents would resolve it.
In fact, it never
bothers them to try to reason whether or not their parents can resolve the
matter. All they do is to ask and then their parents should resolve in their
favour.
Dear friend, this
is exactly how it ought to be between Christians and God our Father in heaven.
Our earthly parents
have a limit to what they can do for us but the child does not know that when
he or she is making a request.
For adults who have
read and understood the Word of God in the Holy Bible, it is written that God
can do all things – Matthew 19:26.
Since God can do
all things, then we must take every single request to God in prayer in the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You must behave
like the little child who believes his or her earthly father can do all things.
You must ask God and thank Him in advance for answer to the prayer.
And when God
answers, not only must you thank and praise Him, you must testify about the
answer to others to first and foremost acknowledge God as the One Who has done
it and also to encourage your listeners or fellow brethren to do same.
Two very important
things you must bring yourself to understand is that God can do all things
(Matthew 19:26) and also that everything is possible for the person who believes
– Mark 9:23.
With this mindset,
not only would you not doubt whether God can answer you or not, but you would
also learn to ask God for anything and everything in prayer in the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
You must also learn
to be grateful to God for each and every prayer He answers for you just like a
child would thank his or her earthly father for resolving the matter.
Dear friend, this
is how faith works.
However, I will add
another very important point here. This answer to prayers is only for children
of God.
Someone may ask,
are we not all created by the same God Who is Father to every human being? Yes,
the first part of the question is correct, which is that we are all created by
the same God.
However, the second
part about God being Father to all is not correct.
God is only Father
to anyone who has repented of sin, confessed and forsaken sin, acknowledged and
received the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and who is genuinely
obedient to God’s commandments in the Holy Bible.
Yes, dear friend,
this is stated in John 1:12 as to those who are given the rights and privileges
of sonship in God.
So you must
endeavour to qualify to be a child of God.
I say endeavour because not only
would you enjoy privileges here on earth but you also qualify to enter heaven
to spend eternity (world without end) with the Lord Jesus Christ.
In fact, any
serious minded person must have heaven as his or her focus and you cannot enter
heaven without genuinely knowing, accepting and obeying the Lord Jesus Christ.
You can begin today
by praying to the Lord Jesus Christ sincerely that you want to know Him today
and forever.
Thereafter, you should get a copy of the Holy Bible and read from the
Gospel according to John.
May the good Lord
bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’
Most precious Name, Amen.
