THE SPIRIT THAT RULES THE UNSAVED

I was once having a discussion with a friend of mine who was voicing out his anger at the manner in which people commit evil acts these days, especially the horrendous nature of such acts.

I then told my friend that the people who do these things are acting under the influence of demonic spirits. I further explained to him that everything that happens in the natural first takes place in the spiritual realm.

The Word of God shows proof of this in Ephesians 2:1-2 (AMPC), “AND YOU [He, Jesus, made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins

2 In which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air.

[You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God].”

The Lord Jesus Christ in  a vision told Pastor Kenneth E. Hagin that this is the demon spirit that rules every unsaved human being, the one Paul calls the rulers of the darkness of this world in Ephesians 6:12, the highest form of demonic spirit operating in this world.

This is the demonic spirit that makes the unsaved commit the atrocities he or she does in the physical realm like murdering someone, committing abortion, raping someone, engaging in homosexual and paedophile acts, holding resentment, hatred, unforgiveness against others, dressing immorally, watching pornography, engaging in gossip, calumny, etc.

The Good News (Gospel) I have for you, dear friend, is that once anyone is joined to the Lord Jesus Christ, this spirit is taken away and God’s Holy Spirit takes over the person’s life to become a new creation – 2 Corinthians 5:17.

In this state the person is called a saved person and saved by the Lord Jesus Christ ONLY- Acts 4:12.

A person becomes saved when the person comes by God’s mercy into the realization that the person is a sinner and has dire need of God’s help.

The person then repents sincerely of sin and evil, confesses to God and forsakes sin, acknowledges, believes and accepts the Lordship of the Lord Jesus Christ as Messiah, and lives in sincere obedience to Jesus’ commandments in the Holy Bible.

Do note, however, dear friend, that the fact that one has become saved does not mean satan will leave the person.

All demonic spirits have just one mission, which is to ensure no saved person enters heaven. Every saved person that remains saved till the end of his or her life here on earth is guaranteed entry into heaven.

So satan and all demonic spirits fight to ensure that the saved loses that entry into heaven.

The demonic forces already have the unsaved in their camp so they don’t bother about those ones.

This is the reason why the saved person MUST ensure that he or she remains joined to the Lord Jesus Christ by being spiritually alert always.

The way to remain spiritually alert is to be aware of who you are in Christ Jesus and your rights as a child of God having been saved.

The way to know who you are in Christ Jesus and your rights as a child of God is by fervent, constant and consistent study of God’s Word in the Holy Bible because God’s Words are spirit and they are life – John 6:63.

In this diligent study of the Holy Bible, the Spirit of God will reveal mysteries to you as you read and make you have a deep understanding so as to apply the mysteries to be an overcomer always.

Having understood the Word of God through God’s Holy Spirit, you must engage in evangelism to share the Gospel with others.

This keeps you alert because it would make you continue to study God’s Word so as to have an answer for anyone who asks you for the hope you have in Christ – 1 Peter 3:15.

You must engage in fasting and prayer. This would keep you close to God to renew your strength in Him always.

You must ensure to always and regularly be in the midst of the children of God in fellowship and church meetings to engage in corporate prayer – Hebrews 10:25.

Never give room to satan and demons but subdue them always by declaring, binding and driving them away ONLY in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ using the authority Jesus Christ has given you – Luke 10:19.

You must keep your mind constantly focused on entering heaven and receiving here on earth the spiritual blessings God has blessed you with in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Then you would reign in life here as kings with the grace and righteousness the Lord has given you – Romans 5:17 (AMPC).

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
