THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD TAKE PRAYERS SERIOUSLY

When evil people want to cast spells on someone, they use words to accomplish their purpose. We see one visible effect of their evil spells on mad or mentally challenged people.

When a Christian prays, he uses words also and as long as the individual is in right standing with God and believes his prayer has been answered, he will have whatsoever he has prayed for.

To be in right standing with God means to be living a life full of grace, righteousness and holiness according to God’s Word in the Holy Bible and not according to human standards or opinion.

It means there is power in words and power in the tongue. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].” 

If you are in right standing with God, the only way you can counter a spell or evil influence is through prayer.

Evil influences from satan and demons are executed with one objective only – to ensure the child of God does not enter heaven from where satan and his demons have been chased out and banished forever.

This is the only major work they engage in.

So satan and demons do all within their powers to distract, disturb, confuse, manipulate into doing evil, all genuine children of God.

These demonic influences use dreams, charms, spells, curses, food, drinks, even physical attacks to fight the Christian. They will never stop until the person dies and leaves the world into either heaven or hell.

If the person enters heaven, they have failed in their mission whereas when the person enters hell, they have succeeded. Unfortunately, many people are dying in their millions every single minute and entering hell even as I write this post.

Unless the Christian is spiritually alert and knows the Word of God, satan will certainly bring the person down.

This is why prayer is very key. The type of prayer is key also because if you pray the wrong prayer, nothing will happen.

For instance, the Bible says God has given a Christian authority over all powers of darkness and nothing shall by any means hurt the Christian – Luke 10:19.

Unless the Christian exercises that authority over satan, demons and their human agents ONLY in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the demonic influences would prevail over the Christian.

Dear friend, this is why you cannot afford to joke with prayers. Many Christian families take prayers as an activity they can overlook as long as all is well with them, until something serious happens.

I tell you, dear friend, every stagnation, sickness, joblessness, financial challenge, quarrel, fights, sexual immorality, barrenness, divorce, abortion, compromise, generational curse is caused by satan, demons and their human agents.

I know this because the Bible says in James 1:17, “Every GOOD gift and every PERFECT (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].”

Now take note that nothing happens in the physical realm that has not first taken place in the spiritual realm.

A Christian can only overcome these evil spiritual manipulations through prayer taking authority in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Christian man of the house should exercise his role by ensuring there is a daily family devotion (father, mother and children) where the Holy Bible is studied day and night with prayers made to God only in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

That is the only prayer God responds to. The Christian family should ensure to study and understand the Word of God in the Holy Bible and apply it to every situation of their life on a daily basis.

Let me end by stating clearly that a Christian is not someone who just professes it but someone whose lifestyle portrays total obedience to God’s Word and exemplifies Christ Jesus genuinely – 1 John 3:9-10.

You are therefore either a Christian or you are not. There is no in-between as far as God is concerned.

Pray over everyone and everything you own or that concerns you – whether food, clothes, books, vehicles, family, money, drinks, whatever.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
