EFFECTIVE PRAYER AND DECLARATION
Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].”
Dear people of God, when you pray you are communicating with God and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You must end the prayer in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for it to have meaning with God.
When the Lord Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary for the sins of mankind, God restored to mankind every blessing (Ephesians 1:3) lost to sin of disobedience resulting from satan’s deceit at the beginning.
Since God has restored all these blessings, the bulk of a Christian’s time in prayer should be spent worshipping, praising and thanking God for His goodness and greatness.
If you must request for anything, let it be in accordance with God’s Word for you to get a prompt answer. The Lord Jesus says this in John 15:7, “If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.”
Your request must be consistent with what is written in God’s Word in the Holy Bible and not what you think or what someone has erroneously told you.
First things first however, you must be in good standing with God for your prayer to make meaning to Him. You must repent sincerely and then confess all sin or unrighteousness in your life once you approach God’s presence in prayer.
A lot of people ask for the same thing over and over again in prayer and then wonder why God has not responded. This is praying in unbelief because the Lord Jesus says to believe when you pray and it will be done for you.
So after asking, thank God sincerely and don’t ask Him for the same thing again in prayer because that is unbelief and it stems from your doubting God’s ability to help you. No response will come to such prayer – James 1:6-8.

When you make declaration, you are exercising the authority given to you as a child of God and you also do it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for it to take effect.
So when you have prayed to God on a specific request and thanked Him for it, the next time you pray, rather than ask God for the same thing, just claim it by declaration in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and then thank God for having given it to you.
Do this constantly until the request manifests physically.
Declaration means saying something with your mouth. Some people fail to understand that every single word you speak out concerning yourself is also a declaration. Even if this speaking out about yourself is a conversation with someone else, it is a declaration also.
The Lord Jesus Christ says you shall have whatsoever you say – Mark 11:23. Whatsoever you say comes from your heart, what you believe.
If you shall have whatsoever you say, then you must learn to say the things that are in the Word of God so that all God’s blessings would come into your life.
Don’t speak negative words about yourself because they would also take effect since you shall have whatsoever you say.
It is the way God has created this world, which is why the Bible says in Job 22:28, “You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways.”
Learn to declare what you want to see in your life using God’s Word and your life will turn out in that exact direction. Do it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and all opposition will bow down.
You must study the Holy Bible to know what is your right as a child of God, what God has given you by way of blessing, so you can thank God, then you know what to claim by declaration and to declare it always in Jesus’ Name until it manifests physically.
it would never become yours as long as you refuse to claim it by declaration and again, that declaration must be in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
