STAND UP FOR JESUS CHRIST

Dear friend, if you came face to face with a gun man who threatened to kill you unless you renounced your Christian faith, what would you do?

Would you renounce your faith in Christ just to live for a few more years or months or days on this earth or would you insist on your faith in Christ regardless of the consequences of death staring you right in the face from the barrel of a gun?

What if you renounced just to stay alive and the gun man went ahead to shoot you to death, do you think you would make it to heaven? Certainly not, because you have just denied the Master!

It is written in 1 Peter 3:15, “But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defence to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully.” 

The Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 1:21, “For me to live is Christ [His life in me], and to die is gain [the gain of the glory of eternity].”

As Christians we must always stand for Christ wherever we are. People must see Christ in us even in the face of imminent danger because there is the assurance of eternity with Him in heaven once we depart this world.

A life of sincere knowledge and honest service of the Lord Jesus is the best thing that can happen to anyone. For we will all account for our stewardship here on earth before God’s Throne of Judgement.

I stand by God’s Word according to Paul in Philippians 1:21 above. Dear friend, can you honestly say the same thing? If you can, then there is no need to be afraid of death, for to die is gain and to live is Christ.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
