CHEATING IN BUSINESS
Dear friends, there is a common phrase some people who
profess Christianity use, which is, “business is business and church is church
and you cannot mix the two together.”
Those who use such phrase assume that one is permitted
to be a Christian and is also allowed to cheat others in business because there
is no perfect person anywhere.
As a result, they are saints in Church on Sundays and
devils on the other days in their places of work or business. They simply do
not care whether they hurt others with their lies and gimmicks in the course of
running business.
For them, the end justifies the means, regardless of
what the means is. No wonder such people argue when called upon to pay tithes
because they are used to cheating humans so cheating God makes little or no
meaning to them.
They are quick to give excuses as to why they should
not pay tithes. They claim that such monies should be given to the poor and
needy in the society because the pastor would misuse the money to enrich
himself.
They claim that the pastor is already doing well so he
does not need any additional money. They say it as if it is the pastor that
owns the Church and not God Who has commanded that tithes should be paid for
the work of the Gospel to be done for lost souls to hear about Christ,
Repentance and Salvation.
These are ignorant people who have failed to understand
that it is God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Who
blesses.
The Word of God is clear on this fact in Proverbs
10:22, “The blessing of the Lord–it makes
[truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].”
Clearly, we see here that toiling does not increase one’s
riches. What increases one’s riches is God’s blessing.
For those who cheat others in business, I want to share a passage of
Scripture to send a warning from God to them. God warns in Deuteronomy 25:13-16,
“You shall not have in your bag true and false
weights, a large and a small.
14 You shall not have in your house true and
false measures, a large and a small.
15 But you shall have a perfect and just
weight and a perfect and just measure, that your days may be prolonged in the
land which the Lord your God gives you.
16 For all who do such things, all who do
unrighteously, are an abomination to the Lord your God.”
Dear friend, you can see for yourself that those who
cheat others in business, especially Christians, are cutting short their life
on earth. They do this when through cheating they open the door to satan to
invade their lives, business, families and to oppress them severely.
It is a dangerous life for anyone to live because if
they die in such ungodly acts, they will be eternally separately from God and
would dwell in HELL fire, a place of eternal torment.
If as you read, this has been your habit before now,
today is the day to repent sincerely and stop before satan cuts short your
life. you cannot be a child of God and be engaged in acts of the devil by cheating
others in business.
Repent therefore and return sincerely to the Lord Jesus
Christ before it is too late. This also applies to the non-Christian cheating
others in business.
No matter the kind of wealth you create from cheating
others, it cannot take you into heaven. You must refrain from such and indeed
all ungodly acts, and then most important of all, submit to the Lordship of
Jesus Christ our Messiah before it is too late.
Without Jesus Christ and a life of righteousness in sincere
obedience to Jesus’ commands in the Holy Bible, no human being will ever see
God and that is a fact.

act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Righteous Name, Amen.
