A CHRISTIAN SHOULD NOT DIE FROM SICKNESS
Galatians 3:13 (AMPC)
The choice is
yours dear friend. For me, I choose to follow Christ, obey Him and enjoy my rights
and privileges over satan, demons and their human agents as His child. I invite
you to do the same and also tell others who are not aware.
“Christ
purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its
condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the
Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified);”
Dear people of God, sometime last year 2017, in one of my posts I gave a
testimony of how God miraculously healed a colleague’s wife who had cancer and had
been bedridden for a month.
As a summary, what happened was that I was told of the woman’s health situation,
and then I compiled a number of prayers using Holy Bible verses on Divine
healing, and sent it to the woman through her spouse.
The prayers were administered on this lady, God healed her, and she that
was previously bedridden was discharged from the hospital and returned to her
home. The kids who had been withdrawn from school as a result of their mother’s
ill health returned to school.
Shortly after the testimony, I was told by the man’s supervisor who is
my friend that this man said he found it difficult to believe that it was those
prayers that brought healing to his wife.
When I heard this unfortunate and careless statement, I wanted to
arrange to meet the man to show him the folly of his statement so he could
repent immediately and ask God for forgiveness but I was distracted by work and
so I forgot.
Not many days later, I received a message that the man’s wife had died!!
Of course I was shocked but not totally surprised.
I knew instantly that the man’s careless statement had opened the door
for satan to attack his spouse and take her life from the same cancer from
which she had received Divine healing just few days earlier.
One may ask, how do I know this? Well, I will answer by referring to an
encounter between the Pharisees and the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 12:24,
31-32 “But the Pharisees, hearing it, said, This Man drives
out demons only by and with the help of Beelzebub, the prince of demons.
31 (Jesus said) Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy
(every evil, abusive, injurious speaking, or indignity against sacred things)
can be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the [Holy] Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven.
32 And whoever
speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks
against the Spirit, the Holy One, will not be forgiven, either in this
world and age or in the
world and age to come.”
The Lord Jesus Christ gave this warning because the Pharisees just
witnessed Him (Jesus) drive out a demon to heal a blind and dumb man by the
Power of God (Matthew 12:22) but chose to speak carelessly and attribute it to
satan.
In the same vein, my colleague rather than give glory to God for his
spouse’s miraculous healing chose by careless speech to attribute it to something
else and made the spouse lose her healing and die prematurely.
Unfortunately for this lady who died, I later discovered again that she
was not properly married to the man!!
The man just took her in and they had four kids between them until she
died.
Again, one may ask, how does all this relate to today’s topic and lead
Bible text?
Dear friend, a Christian is not supposed to die from sickness because
the Lord Jesus Christ had taken it all away on the Cross of Calvary. In fact, a
Christian is not even supposed to have sickness of any kind for the same reason
that Jesus took it all away at Calvary.
Sickness is a curse of the law caused by satan – Deuteronomy 28:15, 22.
The Bible says Christ has redeemed us (Christians) from the curse of the
law and so a Christian is not to be afflicted by a curse of the law since
Christ has taken it all away.
So any Christian who falls sick and eventually dies from sickness is not
aware of his or her rights in Christ Jesus.
Sickness in a Christian could also be a result of opening the door to
satan through sin (any wrongdoing), doubt, fear, worry, anxiety or careless
talk blaspheming the Holy Spirit like the case I mentioned above in which the
lady died.
So how can we exercise our rights in Christ over sickness and disease? It
is by first believing what Jesus Christ did for you and then worshipfully thanking
Him for it.
Thereafter, the next step is exercising your rights over sickness and
disease caused by satan by giving it a command to leave your body in the Name
of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This right is for Christians ALONE because a Christian is a genuine believer
in the Lordship and Messianic status of the Lord Jesus Christ and one who sincerely,
diligently obeys Christ’s commandments in the Holy Bible.

Mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
