SCHIZOPHRENIA IS CAUSED BY DEMONS
I was just watching a crime and investigation
channel on cable television where I saw two cases of people affected by
schizophrenia who were interviewed by a medical investigator.
The first person had killed a complete stranger
he met the same night while the second person killed his mother, brother and
step dad.
What is common in both cases is that the 2 men
said they heard voices for many years telling them what to do evil and at times
commanding them to kill the people they attacked.
Dear friend, it is only the devil or demons that
can make a person do such vile things.
Now, let us recall the story of the demoniac the
Lord Jesus Christ encountered in Mark 5:1-10 (AMPC), “1 THEY CAME to the
other side of the sea to the region of the Gerasenes.
2 And
as soon as He got out of the boat, there met Him out of the tombs a man [under
the power] of an unclean spirit.
3 This
man continually lived among the tombs, and no one could subdue him anymore,
even with a chain;
4 For
he had been bound often with shackles for the feet and handcuffs, but the
handcuffs of [light] chains he wrenched apart, and the shackles he rubbed and ground together and broke in pieces; and no one had
strength enough to restrain or tame
him.
5 Night
and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always shrieking and screaming and beating and bruising and cutting himself with stones.
6 And
when from a distance he saw Jesus, he ran and fell on his knees before Him in
homage,
7 And
crying out with a loud voice, he said, What have You to do with me, Jesus, Son
of the Most High God? [What is there in common between us?] I solemnly implore
you by God, do not begin to torment me!
8 For
Jesus was commanding, Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!
9 And
He asked him, What is your name? He replied, My name is Legion, for we are
many.
10 And
he kept begging Him urgently not to send them [himself and the other demons]
away out of that region.
In the time of the Lord
Jesus Christ as a human being on this earth, a legion of Roman soldiers was
about 1,000 to 1,500 men, so for the demon to say his name is legion and they
are many meant the demoniac had about 1,500 demons in him.
It is these demons that
kept making him engage in violent acts such that no one could come to him
anymore for fear of attack to kill and he now slept in a tomb where dead bodies
are buried. Verse 2 of Mark 5 attests to the fact that he was under the power
of the unclean spirit.
Medically, there is no
known cause of schizophrenia but you can use the story of the demoniac to draw
a parallel with what makes some schizophrenics engage in violent acts to the
extent of killing others.
It is simply the demons
in them commanding them to do evil.
Dear friend, take note,
however, that the demoniac with all the demons in him paid homage to the Lord
Jesus Christ, which means the demons recognised Jesus as the Son of the
Almighty God and they knew they were subject to His Authority.
Fortunately for
Christians, the Lord Jesus Christ has given us this same authority over unclean
spirits and we can cast them out ONLY in the name of Jesus Christ whenever we
encounter them even in schizophrenics.
We find this in Luke 10:17-19.
Commanding a demon to
leave a possessed person in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY permanent
way to take out these demons and not by giving medication to the person that
suppresses his body chemical make-up and after a while the demons begin to talk
again to him to do evil.
It is pertinent to note
also that the person commanding the demons to leave the possessed person must
be in right standing with God through a sincere, righteous obedience to God’s
commands in the Holy Bible, otherwise, the demons would attack him using their human
host.
Secondly, it is also
pertinent for the person commanding the demons to ask how many they are because
if they are many, they would resist coming out of their human host’s body. But when
you know their number, all you would do is to command all of them mentioning
their number to come out immediately in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is ignorance of this
fact that makes some Christians struggle to cast out demons from possessed
individuals.
Dear friend, I thank God
for what He accomplished for us on the Cross of Calvary when the Lord Jesus
Christ died for our sins.
For you to enjoy this
and other privileges available to only Christians, you must repent sincerely of
your sins immediately, confess and forsake them, surrender to the Lordship of
Jesus Christ and strictly obey His commandments in the Holy Bible going
forward.
Then you can help people
possessed with demons who are sometimes labelled as schizophrenics before they attack
and even kill other innocent folks including their family members.
