JUST BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD IN THE HOLY BIBLE
The current difficulties
people face on a daily basis in this world could be quite distressing.
From armed robbery to
rape to murder to quarrels, fightings, bills to pay, children to raise,
families to take care of, the list goes on and on.
However, the Lord Jesus
tells us in John 14:1, “ DO
NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe
in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.”
This advice from the Lord is quite simple but it also difficult for many
to follow. Why is that? It is because people focus more on their problems than
on the solution to their problems.
In fact, many have become entrenched in difficulties for so many years that
they have given up on life as they believe there is no way out.
Some take extreme measures by committing suicide. Some take the lives of
their family members and then take their own lives as their own idea of a
solution.
This is a wrong solution dear friend. It is God that gives life and God
owns life. Therefore, nobody has a right to terminate another’s life or even
his or hers.
There are those who develop high blood pressure as a result of excessively
worrying over their problems.
Some Christians as a result of the difficulties they experience even
give up on God because for them, God has abandoned them in their time of need.
I have Good News for you, dear friend. God never gives up on us because
He loves you and I. Yes, you heard that right, God loves you and God loves me
also.
God loves us because He created us and He has more than enough resources
to take care of us. The problem is that many are always trying to solve their
problems outside of God.
They keep looking in the wrong places. They assume they are only to talk
to God in prayer while they are the ones responsible for their welfare.
Can you imagine a human father who says he loves his children very much
but only listens to their conversation and then leaves them to go fend for
themselves?
It is unimaginable to have such a scenario if the father says he truly
loves his kids. The father would do all within his power to provide for the
kids and also protect them from harm’s way.
We should also look at God from the same perspective, dear friend. Since
God says He loves us as our Creator and Father, it means He is interested in every
aspect of our lives from when we are born until we exit this world at death.
As a human child searches out to look for his father at home to discuss
his needs, so we must search out God our Father to converse with him on our
needs as well.
However, God has even made it easier for us to find Him. You can find
God in His Word in the Holy Bible. You can find God when you fellowship with
other children of His at church to thank God for all He has done for us.
As a child believes his father’s words, so we must believe whatever God
has said in His Word in the Holy Bible.
Let us see what God says in Hebrews 13:5, “5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money
[including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be
satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He
[God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without
support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you
helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] [Josh.
1:5.]”
Dear friend, this is a promise God has made concerning His children. We should
not be desperate because God says He will never leave or abandon us.
This is the Truth of God’s Word we must believe. I personally believe it
because I know for a fact that God is not a man and God cannot tell lies –
Numbers 23:19.
God has unlimited
resources, unlimited power and is present everywhere to see all that happens to
His children daily.
As a result, God is NOT
incapacitated to provide the needs of His children and since He has made a
promise in His Word never to abandon His children, then His children must believe
and trust in God.
Someone may now say if
God has made such promise, why then is there so much suffering in the world? Are
we not all God’s children?
The answer to this question
is simple. Yes, we are all God’s creation but not every human being is a child
of God.
Let us see proof of this
in God’s Word in John 1:12, “ But
to as many as did receive and welcome Him (Jesus Christ), He gave the authority (power,
privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe
in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name”
As you can see from God’s
Word, dear friend, a child of God is someone who believes, accepts, welcomes and
trusts the Lord Jesus Christ as his or her Messiah.
To such persons, God has
given the right, privilege, power to become His children and enjoy the benefits
of children of God. In essence, the person must become a Christian.
Someone may argue and
say but what becomes the fate of non-Christians? This is the reason the Lord
Jesus has commanded Christians all over the world to take the Gospel message of
Repentance and Salvation found only in Him to all the nations of the world.
Jesus is inviting
everyone to hear His Word and become His child by believing, accepting and
trusting in Him as the Messiah.
When you do, you have
privileges and rights as God’s child. These rights, power and privileges for
all of God’s children are clearly outlined in His Word in the Holy Bible.
However, it is your own
duty to study the Holy Bible to see the rights and privileges of God’s children,
obey the conditions attached to them and then receive the benefits that would
accrue as a result of simple obedience to God’s commandments.
It is not difficult. Every
single human who has followed this principle has thousands of testimonies to
show as a result. Remember I have said that God has unlimited resources to give
to His children so there can never be a scarcity of blessings coming from God
to anyone who believes and obeys His commandments in the Holy Bible.
Dear friend, as a Christian,
just believe and do exactly as God has commanded in His Word. If you are not
yet a Christian, you are missing out on a whole lot of benefits.
I invite you to come to
Christ Jesus today so you too can become His child and access the benefits that
accrue as a result of simple obedience to His commandments.
