LUCK? WHAT IS THAT?

One online dictionary website defines “LUCK” as success or failure apparently brought by CHANCE rather than through one's own actions.

Now the word “CHANCE” means something that happens accidentally.

With this definition, we see that LUCK assumes some things or incidents happen outside of God’s knowledge.

However, the Word of God tells us in Hebrews 4:13, “And not a creature exists that is concealed from His (God’s) sight, but ALL THINGS are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.

This means nothing is hidden from God. This is why we say God is Omnipotent (all Powerful), Omnipresent (everywhere) and Omniscient (all knowing).

How then can someone, and even some Christians for that matter ever speak about something or someone being lucky? If you believe there is an Almighty God Who has the aforementioned attributes, why then would you speak about luck?

To speak about Luck is to state or assume God does not exist because luck denotes something that happens by chance. That would certainly be insulting God and it is a sin one should repent of and never fall into again.

This is why the Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].”

This way, you would always give God the glory for your life and never assume erroneously that some good thing that happened in your life was a result of LUCK.

Dear friend, some comments we make show doubt or ignorance of the Person of God Almighty and Father our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We must study God’s Word in the Holy Bible, meditate on it and learn to speak of the things that show and tell others Who our God is in honour of His Holy Name.

So next time, don’t speak about luck because there is no such thing as far as this world is concerned.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
