GOD DID NOT SAVE YOU TO GO TO HEAVEN ALONE
Every Christian in this world was at one time a sinner living
a godless life. However, a day came when God Almighty and Father of my Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ intervened in the sinner’s life.
The sinner then repented of the sinful life, confessed sin to
God with a promise never to go back again to sin, forsook sin, accepted the
Lordship of Jesus as Messiah and made a conscious effort at obeying all of God’s
commandments in the Holy Bible.
God did this because He loves you whom He has made a Christian.
However, I must tell you that God’s saving grace came into your life as a
result of prayer made by someone or some persons you either know or do not
know.
If that did not happen, chances are that you would still be
leading a sinful life in disobedience to God’s commandments and if you had died
in such lifestyle, you would have gone to an eternal damnation in HELL. Thank
God Who made His saving grace available for you to enter into His Kingdom of
light away and out of satan’s kingdom of darkness.
As a Christian, God expects you to also be praying for other
lost souls out there for Him to intervene to save them just the way He saved
you.
In addition, God expects you to go and tell others about
Repentance and Salvation found only in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is called
Evangelism.
Now, you may ask, why does God not just save the lost souls
out there without you having to do anything about it?
The reason God cannot do that is because He has handed over
His authority on earth to the Christians and God can only intervene in such
matters here on earth through the Church.
This is why God has given Christians authority over ALL
powers of the devil and his agents, both spiritual (demons) and human (witches,
wizards, necromancers, magicians, herbalists, witch doctors, voodoo priests, occultists,
etc).
As a result, God expects you to demonstrate the same love He
showed you by your cooperation and obedience to His commandment in Mark 16:15 to
preach the Gospel to all creatures.
Today, many Christians are ignorantly disobeying this all
important commandment of God to Evangelise and tell others about Christ Jesus.
Some claim to be too shy, some claim to be too busy, some
claim not to want to get into argument or to discuss religion because it is a
very sensitive issue.
Dear friend, let us consider
what God says in Ezekiel 3:16-21 (AMPC), “And at the end of seven
days, the Word of the Lord came to me:
17 Son
of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the Word
at My mouth and give them warning from Me. [Isa. 52:8; 56:10; 62:6; Jer. 6:17.]
18 If
I say to the wicked, you shall surely die, and you do not give him warning or
speak to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked way, to save his life, the
same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your
hand.
19 Yet
if you warn the wicked and he turn not from his wickedness or from his wicked
way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered yourself.
20 Again,
if a righteous man turns from his righteousness (right doing and right standing
with God) and some gift or providence which I lay before him he perverts into
an occasion to sin and he commits iniquity, he shall die; because you have not
given him warning, he shall die in his sin and his righteous deeds which he has
done shall not be remembered, but his blood will I require at your hand.
21Nevertheless
if you warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he shall surely
live because he is warned; also you have delivered yourself from guilt.”
You can clearly see from these Sacred Scriptures that God is
telling us to warn both sinners and the once righteous who have backslid and
returned to sin.
God further says if they do not heed His warning through us
to come out of sin, they will still face the consequence but we would have
delivered ourselves from the guilt of not warning them as God expects.
You can therefore see the seriousness of Evangelism as a
Christian that it is one of God’s many pre-requisites to enter heaven at the
end of our stay here on earth.
Dear friend, does it not bother you as a Christian that many
lost souls of unbelievers are dying every second and going to eternal damnation
even as you read this message?
How could you ever believe or expect that God saved you to
enter heaven alone? What about your parents, siblings, cousins, relatives,
spouse, children, friends, acquaintances? Do they not also deserve to hear the
Gospel to get a chance to be saved as you did?
Anyway, if you have been joking with this all important task
of Evangelism, you have now seen and now known today that God demands we go
tell others the Truth of the Gospel.
This is a non-negotiable assignment as far as God is
concerned. It is better you begin now to speak to others about Jesus Christ
before it is too late for you.
Don’t bother about what their response would be. Just pray to
God to guide you through the Holy Spirit as you study His Word to prepare for
the message you would deliver and to respond to every question they would ask
you.
If you claim to be a shy person, speak to the Holy Spirit to
embolden you and then you can partner with a mature Christian in the task and learn
from the matured Christian as he or she preaches to lost souls as you go along.
Just start now before it is too late.
