LIVING IN DENIAL

In my lifetime, I have had cause to discuss issues with people using God’s Word in the Holy Bible as reference and even when it was glaring they were in error on their submissions, they denied it.

One typical example of such behaviour is when I tell people to depend completely on God for everything concerning their welfare.

I have noticed that people are ready to complain to you about how others have refused to help them and when you tell them NOT to focus on humans but on God for their help, they are quick to tell you that they depend solely on God.

If you depend solely on God, why then are you complaining about a human NOT helping you financially or in any other area of your welfare?

It is this act of living in denial that makes such people miss the Truth of God’s Word that would save them from the hardships of life.

You cannot be speaking from both sides of your mouth and believe that God would respond to your needs.

Let us see God’s Word in James 1:5-8 (AMPC), “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or fault-finding, and it will be given him.

6 Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.

7 For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord,

8 [For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].”

As you can see from this Scripture text above, a person who is living in denial about his character flaw that God’s Word points out is a double minded person who is unstable in all his ways.

As the Bible says, such person should not expect God to answer his prayers because while from his heart he speaks the real content thereof, he is in denial when he is confronted and asked to repent of such behaviour.

Dear friend, if you want God to help you as our loving Father that He is, you must do EXACTLY what His Word says and not what you think or assume His Word says.

If God has said do not put your trust in man because it brings you under a curse (Jeremiah 17:5), why do you now get offended when people refuse to help you when you yourself have violated God’s Word by putting your trust in humans?

If someone tells us that this is what you are doing and shows you what God’s Word says about the consequence of putting your trust in mortal man based on your own testimony (complaints) of humans refusing to help you when you run to them, why do you deny it?

The proper thing to do is to realize your error, repent sincerely, ask God for forgiveness and commit to doing exactly what His Word says, which is on depend solely on Him as your Father.

When you do this, then you can be sure that God would do exactly what His Word says concerning you as His child.

The way God helps His children is by commanding people to bless them so that the glory goes to Him, God Almighty, as the One Who did it.

The help would come to you as a surprise but you are sure that it is a miracle based on your faith and trust in God, which is why God ALONE takes all the glory.

If you keep running to people to help you especially unbelievers, how does God take the glory when these unbelievers question your reliance on God, which brings insult to God because God is NOT the One Who sent you to them?

Some even go as far as lying to the person they are begging for help that they felt led by God to meet the person. How terrible for such liars if they fail to repent and retrace their steps before it is too late for them!

Should this message not tell you to refrain from such ungodly behaviour and allow God ALONE to bless you and take the Glory Himself?

Jesus Christ is coming NOW to take in Rapture ONLY those who are ready and waiting for Him.

Is Jesus the Saviour and Lord of your life? Are you ready for Him?

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Righteous Name, Amen.
