FALSE TEACHINGS AND FALSE DOCTRINES IN CHRISTENDOM

Galatians 1:6-10 (AMP)
 
“I am astonished and extremely irritated that you are so quickly shifting your allegiance and deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different [even contrary] gospel; 
 
7 which is really not another [gospel]; but there are [obviously] some [people masquerading as teachers] who are disturbing and confusing you [with a misleading, counterfeit teaching] and want to distort the gospel of Christ [twisting it into something which it absolutely is not].
 
8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we [originally] preached to you, let him be condemned to destruction! 
 
9 As we have said before, so I now say again, if anyone is preaching to you a gospel different from that which you received [from us], let him be condemned to destruction!
 
10 Am I now trying to win the favor and approval of men, or of God? Or am I seeking to please someone? If I were still trying to be popular with men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
 
Dear people of God, one of the worst things any Christian can do to himself or her is to fail to study the Word of God in the Holy Bible to know for yourself what it says on any matter.
 
When you rely solely on what your pastor or priest teaches you, there is every tendency to fall into error because in these last days, many false teachers have cooked up false doctrines of the devil and misleading teachings that have held sway over their ignorant congregation.
 
Unfortunately, God will not hold you blameless for your ignorance because in His Mercy He has made available His Word in written and even electronic format for you to take time to study.
 
Jesus Christ Who is God has also told you in Matthew 7:7-11 to ask Him in prayer anything you are not clear about in His Word and He would surely provide you an answer because He loves you and everyone else so much.
 
If you are too busy with pursuit of material things to pay attention to spiritual things, which are of greatest value, then be prepared for a shocker when you leave this world at death or after the Rapture when Jesus takes away His genuine Believers.
 
Having stated this, I will now list out a number of false teachings and false doctrines held by some Church denominations contrary to God’s Word and I will state the Scripture text that says the right thing as against what you have been taught.
 
It would do you a world of good to take time out to check these Scripture verses to know for yourself what God has said, to repent genuinely if you have been following and promoting error of your church denomination and most importantly, commit to sincerely following Jesus Christ’s commands.
 
Examples of false teachings and false doctrines of church denominations:
 
  • HELL does not exist – Matthew 10:28; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 20:15
 
  • No need for repentance anymore once you are saved – Revelation 3:19
 
  • Eternal security – once saved forever saved or Grace as a licence to sin – 2 Peter 3:16-19
 
  • Prosperity focused Gospel and pursuit of money, possessions, fame, status or whatever is valued more than the Lord to the detriment of righteousness and holiness – poor people are under God’s curse – Mark 8:36-37; Matthew 6:24
 
  • Women can wear trousers – Deuteronomy 22:5
 
  • Women can wear jewellery (finger rings, ear rings, nose rings, neck chains, ankle chains, etc) – 1 Timothy 2:9; Genesis 35:2-4
 
  • Women can wear make-up, false hair attachment, false eye lash, false nails, high-heeled shoes – 1 Timothy 2:9
 
  • Women can braid or plait their hair - 1 Timothy 2:9
 
  • Women can use relaxer for their hair - 1 Timothy 2:9
 
  • Women can use thread, wool, rubber for their hair – common amongst women in holiness movements - 1 Timothy 2:9
 
  • Women do not need to cover their hair in Church – 1 Corinthians 11:5-6, 13
 
  • Only a Bishop is expected to have one wife while others can have more than one – 1 Timothy 3:1-2, 8,12
 
  • Tithe is old testament practice under the law and therefore not for Christians under grace – Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42; Hebrews 7:8
 
  • Jesus never preached about tithe - Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42
 
  • You can divorce and re-marry if the marriage is not working – 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, 39
 
  • Homosexuals, lesbians, transgender are also God’s children – 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; John 1:12
 
  • A Christian is not allowed to judge others – John 7:24; Matthew 7:1-5; Romans 2:1
 
  • Praying for one’s human enemy to die – Luke 6:27-29.
 
  • Ordination of women as pastors in Church to teach or exercise authority over men – 1 Timothy 2:11-12; 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Corinthians 14:33b-38
 
  • Categorizing sin as venial and mortal and that people who died without repentance having committed venial sins would first go to A temporary place of suffering called purgatory before qualifying to enter heaven while those who died in mortal sin would go straight to HELL – Romans 6:23; 1 John 5:17a
 
  • You can reach God and the Lord Jesus Christ through the prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary – 1 Timothy 2:5
 
  • Mary is the mother of God – Luke 1:35, 38, 46-48
 
  • Mary is the queen of heaven – Jeremiah 44:15-18
 
  • Married women should dress provocatively and indecently even outside their homes so that their husbands do not look outside to other women and be tempted to commit adultery – 1 Timothy 2:9-10; 1 Peter 3:3-6
 
  • Married couples should try out different sex positions so that the husbands would not go out to try same with a girlfriend – 1 Corinthians 6:15-20
 
  • Everyone is a child of God regardless of religious affiliation – John 1:12-13
 
  • Asking dead people to pray for you – Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, 10
 
  • A Christian can accept a traditional or chieftaincy title – 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
 
  • Rapture of the saints will happen before the Great Tribulation – Matthew 24:29-31
 
  • Some foods are ritually unclean and would cause sickness in the body – Mark 7:15-19.
 
Dear friend, once again I will warn you not to disregard this message but to first pray to God and then study the Holy Bible passages I have stated that shows either what God has stated or the fact that this practice is against God’s commands.
 
While some churches are practising idolatry without realizing it some are endorsing the sins committed by their pastors and if they do not repent and leave such congregation, they will end up in an eternal damnation.
 
It is COMPULSORY for every Christian person to strive to know God’s will found in His Word and understood only through the help and guide of the Holy Spirit.
 
Nobody can understand spiritual things including God’s Word by acquiring an academic certificate. Unfortunately, it is on this basis that many ignorant people delve into arguments, attacking Scriptures they do not understand and making themselves candidates of HELL.
 
No human can save you. It is only Jesus Christ and this, if you are willing on your own to allow Him save you. He will never force you because you have free will to decide here on earth.
 
However, on the other side of life called eternity, Jesus Christ decides where you would stay forever based on your own personal record here on earth, whether good or evil.
 
After the Great Tribulation, Jesus Christ is coming to take ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.
 Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for Him?
Come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
