GOD’S ANOINTING IS NOT A TICKET TO HEAVEN
Romans 11:29 (AMPC)
“For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws
them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to
whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]”
Dear people of God, very many Christians erroneously assume that
because a minister of the Gospel can perform great miracles in the Name of the
Lord Jesus Christ, it means such minister is in right standing with God.
No, no and no!!!
You can see from today’s lead Holy Bible text that God never
withdraws His Gifts (or anointing) once He has given it to a minister. However,
it must be noted that the anointing is for the work of the Gospel and is
therefore not a ticket to heaven.
Unfortunately, it is for this very wrong assumption that many
ministers of the Gospel today have completely deviated from their calling and
are now operating under God’s wrath even when they are still able to win souls
for Christ and perform great miracles in Jesus’ Name.
As proof of this, look
at Jesus’ Words in Matthew 7:21-23 (AMPC), “Not
everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he
who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name and driven out demons in Your Name
and done many mighty works in Your Name?
23 And then I will say to them openly
(publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly
[disregarding My commands].”
It is a misunderstanding of this simple fact that makes many ministers
of the Gospel mislead their congregation into offending God because the congregation
believe God is still happy with their overseer or pastor and so they overlook
whatever sins they can clearly see their pastor committing and some even join
the pastor in committing sins as well.
For them, the pastor is still performing miracles, so God is
still with Him.
It is also the desperation to perform miracles to attract people
to their ministry that makes some overseers or pastors go to meet some (not
all) pastors of very large congregations who would then introduce them to the
occult and tie their souls to the devil to obtain power to perform miracles.
Dear friend, this is so commonplace in today’s world that if a
Christian does not pray fervently for God to lead him or her to the right
place, you just would end up in a place of worship where the devil is fully in
charge.
Since God’s anointing is for the work of the ministry and is
freely given, the minister should NEVER sell God’s FREE gift for money as we
see nowadays.
Jesus Christ clearly warned about this in Matthew 10:8 (AMPC), “Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out
demons. FREELY (without pay) you have received, FREELY (without charge) give.”
Many ministers of the Gospel today have so fallen in love with
money and material possessions that they only attend to the well to do members
of their congregation and utterly neglect the ones struggling financially.
This ought not to be so, dear minister of the Gospel.
Everyone is equal before God and therefore you as a Gospel
minister MUST ensure to attend to the spiritual needs of all because it is God Who
called you and His call is with His gift of anointing for service to everyone.
It sounds like a tall order but God knows those who truly obey
Him as far as service to His church is concerned.
As a minister of the Gospel of Christ Jesus, you must ensure to
have a personal relationship with Jesus so you can always recharge your spirit
through prayer, fasting, daily study and meditation of God’s Word.
You must avoid activities that diminish the anointing in you
such as watching immoral and ungodly movies, reading immoral literature, listening
to worldly and unspiritual music that does not edify you.
These are the things that would disqualify many so you must
ensure to go to God daily in repentance just as the Lord’s Prayer states and sincerely
ask God to show you your errors that are offensive to Him as stated in His Word
so you can ask Jesus for forgiveness and run away from such errors.
God would surely respond because He wants every one of His
children, the Christians, to leave this world and be with Him forever in heaven
either at Rapture, which is imminent or at death.
Therefore, do not allow pride to become a part of your life
because of God’s anointing on your life.
This is one major reason God sends others, considered
insignificant in the eyes of men but significant in the eyes of God, to warn
certain well-known Gospel ministers but very few of the well-known ministers listen,
take correction and sincerely amend their ways.
After the ongoing Great Tribulation, Jesus Christ is coming to
take ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous standards in the
Holy Bible.
Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for
Him? Come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on
it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
