1 THESSALONIANS 4:3-5 (NIV)“It
is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual
immorality;
4 that
each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy
and honourable,
5 not
in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God”
Dear people of God, in my last post, we saw how God hates sexual
immorality of all kinds, the spiritual dangers involved for all who engage in
sexual immorality and why it must be avoided at all costs.
Today, we look at the sin and danger of masturbation, another
type of sexual immorality practised especially by young unmarried persons, both
male and female.
Just as in other forms of sexual immorality, demons enter a
person who engages in masturbation.
In young men, their illicit act of masturbation usually results
in the release of life from their body in the form of semen.
God only permits this release of life for married couples for
the process of procreation to bring kids into this world when the sperm cell
fertilizes the female ovum to form a baby.
God therefore views any act that releases this semen and wastes
it as murder of a human life. And God says we should not kill.
You can see an example of God’s anger over this in Genesis 38:8-10.
Male masturbators are therefore murderers in the sight of God
and must repent from this sin because no murderer would enter heaven.
As for the females, they use all manner of tools and the devil
has created several for them to use in inflicting physical and spiritual damage to their bodies, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Unfortunately, there is a popular Nigerian pastor who has misled
his congregation into believing that the disgusting act of masturbation is not
a sin. You can imagine the damage this false teaching has caused and the number
of ignorant souls this pastor has condemned to eternal damnation in HELL unless they
repent and turn back to God.
Dear friend, no matter how addicted you are to the sin of
masturbation, Jesus Christ my Saviour and Lord can deliver you if you are
willing to be delivered.
Having known the danger as described above, what do you think
you should do if you are someone who masturbates to satisfy unhealthy sexual urges?
First of all, repent genuinely, cry to God, confess your sins and
ask for forgiveness. Thereafter, go and meet a genuine pastor who fears God to
counsel and pray for you to be delivered.
Once God has delivered you, avoid all acts and occasions that
can again trigger the demonic act of masturbation.
Get rid of pornography on your phone, on your computer and in
your home. Stop watching any movies that has immoral scenes and stop listening
to music with immoral lyrics because demons would immediately re-possess you
from these sources and cause you to go back to immorality.
As a man, take your eyes off women who dress seductively and
provocatively.
The same applies to the young ladies who should also take their
eyes off men who dress in tight fitting and body-hugging clothes, singlets, etc.
Most importantly, begin to attend Church every Sunday and during
the week, engage in a daily Bible study and prayer time, say 12noon, meditate
on God’s Word, listen to the Spirit of God speak to you and do what God’s Word
says.
Play and listen only to Gospel music that glorifies God and
watch only Christian movies that glorify God and edify your spirit.
Take note that in this very end of last days, what many listen
to as gospel music or watch as Christian movies has been produced and polluted
by the devil and his agents.
For music to qualify as Gospel music it must either be a Psalm
or Hymn or Spiritual song – Colossians 3:16; Matthew 26:30; Ephesians 5:19. A
spiritual song must either be pure worship or reviving, NOT just entertaining as
we see today.
This is what the Lord Jesus Christ has revealed to His children
and Christians must obey for their own good.
Associate more often with people whose lifestyle conform to the
standard of God’s Word in Truth, Holiness and Righteousness and make yourself
accountable to them so they could help you grow spiritually.
Take note that no sin goes unnoticed by God because every human
has an angel that watches every action we take and a record is kept in heaven.
Whenever the devil shows up with a picture or suggestion of
immorality in your mind, cast down such imaginations in the Name of the Lord
Jesus Christ and take all such foul thoughts captive and make them obedient to
Jesus Christ the Word of God as stated in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
Ask Jesus Christ to strengthen you by His Spirit and always
yield to what the Spirit tells you.
As I usually tell people, there is nothing in this world worth
going to HELL for so make up your mind to live in fear of God and
uncompromising obedience to His Word.
You would surely be better off when you leave this world than to
engage in a few minutes of immorality on this earth and enter into an eternity of unending
torture in HELL.
Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take in Rapture ONLY those who
are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.
Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for
Him? Come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on
it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
