THE DEVIL’S ACTIVE AND PASSIVE FOLLOWERS

Revelation 2:24-25 (AMPC)
 
“But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not explored and known the depths of satan, as they say – I tell you that I do not lay upon you any other [fresh] burden:
 
25 Only hold fast to what you have until I come.”
 
Dear people of God, from the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ in today’s main Holy Bible text, there is something called the depths of satan, which the devil’s active followers know about and actively practise to promote the demonic kingdom of darkness.
 
So, who are those who know and have explored the depths of satan? Let me give examples of such people:
 
  • Satanists
  • Occultists
  • Ritualists
  • Magicians
  • Witches and wizards
  • Necromancers
  • Mediums
  • Voodoo priests
  • Any pastor and other ministers of the devil’s gospel who have sold their souls to the devil but disguise as ministers of the light of Christ’s Gospel to attract membership for fame, money and occultic power to fight their human enemies – 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
 
The devil reveals himself directly to his active followers because they on their own have deliberately sought him to do their bidding, which is to give them riches, fame and to help them destroy their human enemies.
 
While there are active followers of the devil, there are also passive followers of the devil; whether they are aware or not is immaterial.
 
Unfortunately for the passive followers of the devil, God does not differentiate between the active and the passive followers of the devil because it is either you are 100% for God or nothing.
 
God does not accept 99.99% followership from anyone who claims to be His. This is why the Lord makes it clear that His children should be perfect as He is perfect (Matthew 5:48) and holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:15-17).
 
From the two preceding paragraphs, it should be clear to you by now that a passive follower of the devil is anyone whose lifestyle, conduct, speech, relationship with God and humans is in violation of any of God’s laws in the Holy Bible.
 
Let me give examples of passive followers of the devil who may not even be aware:
 
  • Anyone who buys and listens to worldly music and watches worldly movies
  • Composers, producers and sellers of worldly music and movies
  • Anyone who harbours anger, hatred, resentment and unforgiveness against others regardless of what they have done.
  • Anyone who incites others into wrongdoing.
  • Anyone who sells or wears whatever God has declared an abomination – so called women’s trousers, see-through, body hugging, split, above the knees, hair attachment, jewellery, cosmetics, face powder, etc
  • Anyone who cheats whether in school, office, wherever and anyone with a fraudulent certificate
  • Traffic offenders
  • Any preacher of the Gospel who teaches a false doctrine that violates God’s Divine laws
  • Alcoholics, drunkards, adulterers, divorcees, polygamists, polyandrists, misogamists
  • All liars
 
 
It does not matter for how long such a person claims to have been a follower of Jesus Christ. As long as any part of your life offends God, you have become a passive follower of the devil and unfortunately, no such person can attain eternal life.
 
Take note of what the Apostle Paul says under God’s Holy Spirit inspiration in James 2:10-11 (AMPC), “For whosoever keeps the Law [as a] whole but stumbles and offends in one [single instance] has become guilty of [breaking] all of it.
 
11 For He Who said, you shall not commit adultery, also said, you shall not kill. If you do not commit adultery but do kill, you have become guilty of transgressing the [whole] Law. [Exod. 20:13, 14; Deut. 5:17, 18.]”
 
Dear friend, with God, you must strive to be as He has commanded for God demands perfection from His children as we have seen in Scriptures.
 
You therefore have an obligation to study God’s Word, meditate on it, confess and do exactly what it states without compromise as the Holy Spirit gives you guidance.
 
You also must do as David prayed to God in Psalm 19:12-13 (AMPC), “Who can discern his lapses and errors? Clear me from hidden [and unconscious] faults.
 
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then shall I be blameless, and I shall be innocent and clear of great transgression.”
 
Anyone who tells you that going to heaven is very easy is telling you a big fat lie because the road to heaven is very narrow and only few find it. Conversely, the road to HELL or eternal damnation is broad and wide and many tread that path as we are warned in Matthew 7:13-14.
 
As a Christian, you cannot enter heaven without God’s Word and the Holy Spirit as guide. Always pray to God for His help whenever you need anything and whenever you are not clear on any spiritual matter.
 
Don’t become complacent in your Christian faith by ever believing you have arrived spiritually because that is pride and it always goes before a fall. Surrender totally to the Lord in Truth, Righteousness and Holiness for only He can protect you until you depart this world.
 
As a non-Christian, there is no hope whatsoever for you except you change your mind in genuine repentance and surrender to follow Jesus Christ Who alone is the Saviour of the Universe.
 
Active and passive followers of the devil must repent genuinely and run back to God through the Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late for them.
 
Dear friend, Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take in Rapture ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.
 
Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for Him? Repent and come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.
 
Once Jesus takes away His children, the entire earth would come under God’s wrath and Divine judgement in a most terrible manner never experienced before.
 
Why do you risk your life in sin and risk the grave danger, pain and suffering ahead and risk ultimately damning your soul forever in the lake of fire?
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
