ARE YOU A STUMBLING BLOCK TO THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST? (2)
1 Corinthians 8:9 (AMPC)“Only
be careful that this power of choice (this permission and liberty to do as you
please) which is yours, does not [somehow] become a hindrance (cause of
stumbling) to the weak or overscrupulous [giving them an impulse to sin].” Dear people of God, in the first post of this topic we saw
examples of how professed Christians, congregation and spiritual leaders alike
could exhibit ungodly character that becomes a stumbling block to the Gospel of
Christ Jesus aimed at saving lost souls and building new converts spiritually
for the Kingdom of God. In today’s world, fashion in church has become a major
distraction and stumbling block for many professed Christians especially the
women folk. Majority of the ladies and some men are more concerned about how
attractive they look physically to others than how their souls look before God
Almighty Who created them. The ladies paint faces, carry hair attachment, wear
tight-fitting trousers, mini-skirts, high heeled shoes, body hugging vests and
short gowns and spend hours on end in front of the mirror preparing for church. Your preparation for church should be focused more on the
spiritual because attending church is to worship, praise and thank God in
fellowship with the brethren and feed on spiritual food, God’s infallible Word
in the Holy Bible. Some deliberately come late to church to show off their
clothing, walk from the back to the front while the sermon is ongoing, thus distracting
the spiritually weak men and other fashionistas. These ladies then proceed to the front of the church to sit and
deliberately expose their laps to distract the pastor who is now unable to
concentrate on the sermon. Some of these ladies are choristers who stand with their ungodly
attire on the pulpit to sing supposedly songs of worship and praise to God. Proverbs 15:8 (AMPC) states “The
sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, hateful and exceedingly
offensive to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight!” As far as God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus
Christ is concerned, the wicked is anyone whose conduct toward God and others
is contrary to what the Word of God says. Therefore, whatever sacrifice such an individual offers whether
to God or man though good remains an abomination and cannot change God’s
standard of righteousness just as Proverbs 15:8 states. Ladies who profess Christianity and dress ungodly to provoke,
harass, seduce and distract men and others in Church are a stumbling block to
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These ladies are direct (marine agents) and indirect (ignorant
fashionistas) agents of the devil depending on the depths of satan operating in
their lives. Their distraction causes the spiritually weak to lust and sin
against God who would certainly punish every sin. All such ladies must know
that they also would not escape God’s punishment because they are an offence to
Christ and His Gospel. All such ladies and others who cause offence and sinful distraction
in church must know today that they have no other choice than yield to God’s
Word and repent before it is too late. If heaven is truly your goal and destination, then you must
allow God’s Word and His Spirit to save your soul before it is too late. There is nothing in this world worth going to an eternity in HELL.
A few years of ignorance in sinful pleasure gratifying your flesh would do you
no good. A time comes in everyone’s life as you age to become old that
fashion would hold no meaning and then you realize what a waste of time those
things are. Unfortunately, not everyone reaches that age to realize it
because people die at different ages and without Jesus Christ, it is a most
miserable life spent here on earth. Dear friend, Jesus Christ is coming shortly
to take in Rapture ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous
standards in the Holy Bible. Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for
Him? Repent and come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you. Once Jesus takes away His children, the entire earth would come
under God’s wrath and Divine judgement in a most terrible manner never
experienced before. Why do you risk your life in sin and risk the grave danger, pain
and suffering ahead and risk ultimately damning your soul forever in the lake
of fire? May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on
