THE RIGHT WAY TO PRAY (2)

John 15:7-8 (AMPC)

“If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My Words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.

8 When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.”

Dear people of God, in the first part of this message, we showed how prayer is communication with Almighty God and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ and must therefore be done with all reverence due to Him.

We also saw that prayer to God as our Lord Jesus Christ stated must not involve too many long words like unbelievers engage in.

We showed that God’s face is inclined to the prayers of people who are righteous, that is, who are living an upright and obedient life to His commands.

We showed that prayer must be made in faith and according to the Word of God or the will of God, which is His Word.

This is where majority of Christians must understand the right way to pray to God to always get answers.

In today’s lead Holy Bible text, the Lord Jesus Christ gives a condition for your prayers to God to be answered, which is that you must abide in Him (Jesus Christ) and His Words must remain and continue to live in your heart.

It therefore follows that many prayers of Christians today remain unanswered because they do not pray according to God’s Word.

God says in Jeremiah 1:12 that He watches over His Word to perform it.

The same God has promises or covenant birth rights stored up for all who are His children, that is, anyone who has rejected sin and satan the author of sin, confessed to God and forsaken sin, accepted Jesus Christ as Messiah and lives an uncompromised life of Truth, Holiness and Righteousness in obedience to God’s commands in the Holy Bible.

In all I have stated here, the emphasis remains the need to know the infallible Word of God in the Holy Bible. You must study and meditate (think) on it daily to know what God says there concerning you as His child.

Having known what God says concerning you in His Word in the Holy Bible, then in prayer, you worship, praise and thank the Lord for the SPECIFIC promise you want to bring to Him and then God would answer your prayer SPEEDILY.

Two major areas where from personal experience I have seen many Christians struggle to receive answers from God is in health and finances.

Dear friend, please pay attention to what I am stating here because it would make the difference between ending your many years of unanswered prayers and continued struggle with unanswered prayers.

Do NOT ever go to God in prayer on a matter without a Scripture supporting it because God watches over His Word to perform it.

If your prayer is without any Scriptural support, how then can you know what to pray for and when the answer fails to come, you start giving the common excuses we hear nowadays like “God’s delay is NOT His denial” OR “Maybe it is not God’s will to answer this particular prayer” OR “God has a reason why He is not responding now”.

There is no way you can pray according to Scriptures, which is God’s will and fail to receive an answer because God cannot fail to keep His Word.

From today, anytime anyone comes to you to pray for him or her, first ask what the specific prayer request is, and then ask for at least one Scripture to support it and then agree with the person in prayer to God according to Matthew 18:19, then thank God because you are sure God would answer the prayer made in faith according to His will, His Word.

If there is no scripture to support the prayer request, don’t bother praying because you may be praying in conflict with God’s Word or will and be sure that God would not answer.

For instance, when someone asks you to pray for his or her healing from sickness, praying to God to heal the person would not receive a response from Him because that prayer is NOT according to God’s Word.

What God’s Word says is that Jesus Christ took our infirmities upon Himself and bore away our sicknesses and diseases (Matthew 8:17) and By Jesus’ stripes we WERE healed (1 Peter 2:24).

The right way to pray therefore for a sick person is to FIRST get the person to see or understand from the Bible what Jesus Christ did for him or her. When the person has understood, believed, and accepted what Jesus Christ accomplished for him or her, then the prayer is to first thank God for the victory Christ wrought for the individual.

Thereafter, enforce that victory by commanding the sickness to leave the person’s body in the Name of Jesus Christ and again worship and thank God for answered prayers.

Let the person continue to thank God for Divine healing and be sure that even if the person has been ill for 40 years, that illness MUST depart.

Now, you know the right way to pray, which is according to His Word or perfect will. Start therefore to pray the right way and watch how God answers you speedily and ensure to always give God all the glory by testifying to others.

Dear friend, Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take in Rapture ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.

Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for Him? Repent and come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.

Once Jesus takes away His children, the entire earth would come under God’s wrath and Divine judgement in a most terrible manner never experienced before.

Why do you risk your life in sin and risk the grave danger, pain and suffering ahead and risk ultimately damning your soul forever in the lake of fire?

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.

Gabriel Ama.
