GIVING TO GOD

Exodus 25:1-9 (NKJV)

“1Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2“Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering. 

 

3And this is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, and bronze; 4blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair; 5ram skins dyed red, badger skins, and acacia wood; 

 

6oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense; 7onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate. 8And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. 

 

9According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.”

 

 

Dear people of God, the command to give in Church is from God and is for the work of the Gospel.

 

Every Church with a genuine foundation of Christ Jesus as Head belongs to God and not to man as we see today with pastors running Church as a family business.

 

It is pertinent to note that not all churches are of God because some are of satanic origins so this message is addressed to Christians who worship God in a genuine Church with Godly foundation built on Christ Jesus.

 

As you can see in today’s lead Holy Bible text above, God never forces anyone to give but it must be from a willing heart.

 

However, it must be noted that for you to receive a blessing from God, His Word says to give (Luke 6:38) and that giving includes firstfruits, tithes, offerings, contributions to kingdom projects whenever we are called upon and to the poor and needy in Church and outside the Church.

 

Therefore, for you as a person, you must understand that it is to your advantage to give in Church because God is the One Who has provided every good and perfect gift for His children including you – James 1:17.

 

In appreciation, we must give to God for the work of the Gospel because money is needed to run the Church. Even though God does not need the money but He demands that we demonstrate our love and 100% loyalty to Him by obeying all His commands including the command to give.

 

The money given in Church is usually used for the under listed:

 

(1) Running the church - equipment and premises maintenance, fuelling for vehicles, generators, salaries for hired church workers including pastors

 

(2) Paid adverts for church programmes on Television, Radio and social media

 

(3) Providing assistance for the poor and needy members of the church – Galatians 6:10; Acts 20:35; Proverbs 19:17

 

(4) Organizing Gospel programmes, crusades, missionary work and Evangelism all aimed at co-operating with God according to His command in Mark 16:15-16 to win lost souls for the Kingdom.

 

Evangelism or Soul winning is God’s heart-beat and His heart-pain. It is His heart- beat because it is the most important task every Christian must engage in as far as God is concerned.

 

Evangelism is God’s heart-pain because very few Christians understand the seriousness God attaches to Evangelism to engage in it and as a result, many lost souls are dying daily in sin and ignorance and going to an eternal damnation in HELL.

 

It must be noted however, that even though God Almighty never forces anyone to give, no tithe and firstfruits defaulter will enter heaven because such individual is operating under a curse from God (Malachi 3:9).

 

You cannot therefore joke with giving whether to the Church for the Gospel work or to the poor and needy.

 

One other important point to note is that you must be careful when giving your money to the poor whether in or outside the church because there are many occultic people (even though they are poor) who would use your money to harm you spiritually.

 

Therefore, before giving to the poor in or outside the Church, always cover your money with the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ to neutralize whatever demonic spell would be used through your money to harm you.

 

Go to God in prayer to know those you can give to and those you should not give to as well.

 

The command from God to give to receive His blessing is a covenant between God and the giver so whether or not your pastor misappropriates the funds, it does not affect your covenant with God Who would surely bless the giver to the Gospel work.

 

However, the pastor like every other human being must surely account to God for every resource that he was given to manage for the work of God.

 

Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take in Rapture ONLY those who are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.

 

Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for Him? Repent and come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.

 

Once Jesus takes away His children, the entire earth would come under God’s wrath and Divine judgement in a most terrible manner never experienced before.

 

Why do you risk your life in sin, risk the grave danger, pain and suffering ahead and risk ultimately damning your soul forever in the lake of fire?
