“For
God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up
His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings
to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have
eternal (everlasting) life.”
Dear people of God, society tells us that nothing in this life
is free and even free things have been paid for by someone or some group.
What is the greatest need of humans?
According to humans, it is food, shelter and clothing. In
today’s world, security, health and healing have become major needs for
billions of people.
All over the world, people are dying in their numbers from the
wicked and ungodly acts of others as well as from sicknesses and diseases, both
curable and incurable.
For God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord, all humans’
major need is eternal life.
What is eternal life?
Eternal life is the Divine life that only God can give someone
and it is completely free of charge.
Yes, everyone reading this message is alive but this life is
temporary because all humans born into this world are inevitably going to die
some day and that is the end of the temporary life.
Eternal life continues after this temporary life and never ends.
There are many who don’t believe in eternal life or a life after this one
because according to them, nothing else exists after this life when one dies.
Unfortunately for those who hold this false belief concerning
death and the non-existent afterlife, there is more than enough proof that
their position is wrong.
What does God say about eternal life? The Bible provides the
answer in Jesus’ own Words in today’s key text above in a conversation with
Nicodemus who was a teacher of the law while Jesus was here on earth as a human
being.
Jesus re-affirms this fact in John 6:47 (AMPC), “I
assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres
to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal
life.”
As you can see, dear friend, for anyone to have eternal life here
on earth or the Divine life after death or the permanent life after this
temporary one, the one and only condition is that such an individual MUST
believe, accept, trust and declare openly that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Consequently, the converse of this Truth is also correct, which
is that anyone who fails to believe, accept, trust and declare openly that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God cannot have eternal life.
What then is the fate of such an individual?
It is eternal death or an afterlife of permanent torture and
burning in the lake of fire and brimstone.
How do I know this? God’s Word declares so in John 3:36b, “But whoever
disobeys (is unbelieving toward, refuses to trust in, disregards, is not
subject to) the Son will never see (experience) life, but [instead] the wrath
of God abides on him. [God's displeasure remains on him; His indignation hangs
over him continually.]”
Dear friend, just as was stated at the beginning of this message
that free things have been paid for by someone or some group, so it is with
eternal life. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price to give us
Salvation or eternal life with His torture, disgrace and death on the Cross of
Calvary in AD34 some 1,987 years ago.
There is no other price to pay for eternal life because Jesus
paid it all as a result of His everlasting love for all humans.
Therefore, those who propagate the false doctrine of purgatory
(where according to them some people who die must go temporarily to suffer
punishment for their sins to qualify to enter heaven because when they died,
they were not qualified to enter heaven and are also not qualified to enter
HELL) are in grave error, must repent and stop this false teaching before it is
too late for them.
Now, when you have eternal life in you, as a result of the
Spirit of God having re-created your human spirit (the real you that can never
die) here on earth, you automatically change camps from the devil to God and
are now able to live above sin and its consequences – eternal death.
You are now able to walk in Divine health and healing. You are
protected by God’s angels to deliver you from spiritual and physical attacks of
the devil, demons and their human agents.
The Lord Jesus Chris provides every need of yours because He has
promised this to all His children in Matthew 6:33 as long as you fulfil every
condition of seeking FIRST His Kingdom and His righteousness.
And when you depart this world, you automatically move to join
the Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life in HEAVEN.
Isn’t this a great gift? Isn’t this the greatest gift?
Is there anything else in this world more important than this
FREE gift of eternal life from God?
Think carefully and deeply about this and you would come to the
conclusion that nothing else is more important.
What then are you waiting for, dear friend?
Jesus Christ is calling you today and now. He expects you to
immediately heed His call to repent genuinely of your sins (all evil and all
wrongdoing), confess sins, forsake sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour
and Lord and immediately enter eternal life in strict and uncompromising
obedience to God’s commands in the Holy Bible.
Tomorrow or later may be too late and the consequences are
better imagined than experienced.
Why do you risk your life in sin, risk the grave danger, pain
and suffering ahead and risk ultimately damning your soul forever in the lake
of fire?
