WALKING BY FAITH

2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMPC)
"For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.”
 
Dear people of God, there is a popular saying that “seeing is believing” and many choose this statement without realizing that it means walking by sight.
 
As Christians, we are called to walk by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross of Calvary for us.
 
God has made it clear that nobody can please Him except the person walks by faith in Him, believes He exists and is a rewarder of anyone who diligently seeks Him – Hebrews 11:6.
 
It is when we diligently seek God by faith that we would become more intimately aware of His great power and how to appropriate it in our daily lives for our spiritual and material benefits.
 
Speaking about our Messiah Jesus Christ, we are told in 1 Peter 1:8-9 AMPC), “Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy.
 
9 [At the same time] you receive the result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
 
It is this walk by faith that draws you close to God by His Holy Spirit to live a life of Truth, Holiness and Righteousness knowing that that is the true nature of God and nobody who calls himself or herself a child of God can at the same time be living a hypocritical double life of sin.
 
You won’t need to struggle to live right because you know that God is your Father, Provider, Protector, Healer, Defender and so on and so forth.
 
Even when the devil and his agents try to distract you to discourage and make you fall from grace into sin, you are able to resist them successfully because pleasing God is paramount for you and is NOT negotiable.
 
Don’t join people who say seeing is believing because walking by faith in Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God guarantees you all you would ever need in this life after Salvation and victory over all negative circumstances of life because Jesus can never fail you.
 
Jesus Christ is calling you today and now. He expects you to immediately heed His call to repent genuinely of your sins (all evil and all wrongdoing), confess sins, forsake sins, accept Him (Jesus Christ) as your Saviour and Lord and immediately enter eternal life in strict and uncompromising obedience to God’s commands in the Holy Bible.
 
Tomorrow or later may be too late and the consequences are better imagined than experienced.
 
Why do you risk your life in sin, risk the grave danger, pain and suffering ahead and risk ultimately damning your soul forever in the lake of fire?
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
