FRUITS OF A FAULTY FAMILY UPBRINGING

Proverbs 22:6 (AMP)

“Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents],

 

Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

 

Dear people of God, the Holy Bible is God’s opinion and the final authority on any matter concerning life.

 

Anyone who chooses to argue against this Truth is only wasting his or her time and simply going against a moving train that is bound to crush him or her.

 

The Bible says to train up a CHILD to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents and even when he is old, he will NOT depart from it.

 

Many parents today want to correct their ADOLESCENT (about 10-19 years old) children when they see them doing wrong and there is nothing wrong with this action.

 

However, it usually breeds animosity and tension in the home because the parents from their own personal experience of life know the dangers ahead for the child while the child wants to experience life on his or her own terms.

 

This is where parents need to get it right. Godly training should begin early for a child as little as in their toddler age – between 12 to 36 months or 3 years of age. This is a child and the Bible says train up a child, not an adolescent.

 

Some parents may protest here whilst reading this but let me remind you that women who are in paid employment usually take this same age of their children to creches and kindergarten school where they are taught to focus and learn.

 

If they can be taught to focus and learn at school, why do you believe they cannot focus and learn in Church or at home where you leave them to run and play with their friends of parents of same faulty mindset concerning training a child whereas in the same church or homes in your neighbourhood, God’s Word is being taught to children of same age but of parents who are interested in their children’s spiritual well-being?

 

Dear friend, it is not difficult to observe the fruits of a child’s faulty upbringing at home, which manifests itself in their:

 

(1) Language – foul words, abusive words, caustic words, etc

 

(2) Dressing – shabby – torn jean is today’s fashion for people who claim to be sane, whereas years ago this was clothing for only insane individuals. The boys sag their trousers, wear shorts and singlets in public while the girls wear revealing clothing, miniskirts, body hugging provocative and short gowns, paint their faces, eyebrows, wear jewellery, trousers, etc.

 

(3) Hairstyle – dreadlocks, jerry curls, and all manner of strange hair cuts

 

(4) Companionship – they prefer to hang out with people who do NOT discuss God or Religion because for them such people are “happening” guys while people who discuss God, Church and Christ are “boring.”

 

(5) Choice of music – Gospel music is strange to them while they are more interested in reggae, rock, R & B, etc

 

(6) Choice of television programmes and movies – anything else but Gospel movies is their choice because they don’t want to be reminded about the most important topics, which are Jesus Christ, Salvation, eternity, sin, heaven and hell.

 

(7) Gambling, sports betting, internet fraud, alcoholism, sexual immorality

 

Dear friend, there are some Christian parents whose adolescent children are already indulged in these sinful habits and while they have prayed and prayed, nothing seems to be happening as the child appears to be going from bad to worse.

 

You must never stop speaking to your children about God’s Word, but it must be a discussion and not a monologue, and you must never fail to warn the child about the spiritual dangers ahead.

 

You must handover that child or those children to God in prayer to take over and have His way in their lives.

 

You must NEVER place a curse on your children but rather speak gracious words of what you want to see manifest in that child’s life and keep saying it whether the child is present or not and in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Eventually, the foul spirits troubling the child must give way to bow to the superior power in the Name and Precious Blood of the Saviour and Messiah Jesus Christ my Lord.

 

Hope is never lost as long as the child is alive because God wants everyone to come to know His saving grace in His Son our Lord Jesus Christ – 2 Peter 3:9.

 

If you reading this message are a parent of a little child, learn from today’s message and begin to train up your child in the way of God through your own words and personal deeds consistent with God’s Word in the Holy Bible.

 

Don’t abdicate your spiritual responsibility over the child to the school or church because it would fail and you will account to God for this.

 

Teach your child from the Bible about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Truth of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, agape love, forgiveness, prayer, fasting, Holiness, Righteousness, sin, repentance, salvation, eternity, heaven, hell, daily study, meditation and uncompromising obedience to God’s commands in the Holy Bible.

 

God has told you today that as you train the child in His Way, that child would NEVER depart from it in latter years.

 

Always remember that whatever God says is His opinion on the matter and anyone who diligently hearkens to God’s Word would never fail.

 

If you fail to bring up your CHILD in the fear and way of the Lord, you are only breeding a monster that may consume you in future.

 

A Word is enough for the wise.

 

Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take away only His qualified children in Rapture. Are you His child? Are you ready for Him?

 

Come today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.

 

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
